Next up is SJA Le Poiré-sur-Vie, a team that is even one league lower than Epinal. They are one of two CFA 2 teams still remaining in the competition (the other is US Jeanne d'Arc Carquefou). The game will take place on Feb. 2 or 3 in Le Poiré-sur-Vie, a commune located just south of Nantes.

Stupid question....what's going on with our kit sponsor. Do we have conflicts in each different competition?

The first picture was during the FA Cup and yesterday it was the League Cup therefore we have to use each competition sponsors on our kits.

Poiré-sur-Vie - PSG : 1-3 (0-0).
Pailler (53') for le Poiré-sur-Vie ; B.Mendy (52'), A.Diané (74'), A.Diané (78') for PSG.
Poiré-sur-Vie : Caradec - Zakari, Lemasson, Zeroual, A.Gauvard - Pailler, Teillet, Charrier, Guillou (Garnier, 87') - Guilleux (Jospitre, 73'), Bekkar (Drapeau, 82').
PSG : Landreau - Armand, Yepes, Camara, Cearà - Chantôme, B.Mendy (Arnaud, 80'), Rothen, Clément - A.Diané (N'Gog, 82'), Luyindula (Ngoyi, 86').
PSG line up :
----------------Diané-------------
--------Luyindula------------------
Rothen----------------------Mendy
--------Clément---Chantôme------
Armand---Yepes---Camara---Ceara
--------------Landreau------------

- PSG won against Le Poiré-sur-Vie. It wasn't easy but it's always like that during the FA Cup. The most important will always be for PSG to beat its opponent no matter how during this competition. PSG weren't bright against le Poiré-sur-Vie but the most important was to reach the next round of FA Cup. Le Guen is pretty disappointed by PSG's performance during the first half mostly because even though PSG dominated its opponent, they couldn't capitalise on it. Fortunatly, Landreau saved PSG at the start of the game. He was pretty safe.
- At the very beginning of the second half, Luyindula's header hit the post after a cross from Rothen. In my opinion, Luyindula had a good game yesterday. He assisted Mendy for his first goal and he gave another scoring chance to Nanard with a fine deep pass into the penalty box. His dead ball skills were pretty useful this time. I hope he'll confirm this interesting performance against Le Mans.
- Diane capitalised on le Poiré-sur-Vie's defensive mistakes. He scored twice once again. I wonder if the replacement of Pauleta isn't already in our squad. Diané could be his replacement if he is still performing that well.
- By the way, Ceara made another defensive mistake. How many goals did PSG own because of him ? It might be about 4 or 5 goals. I understand that teams in Brazil are using 3-5-2 and not 4-4-2 but it's been 6 month that he has been playing for PSG. He has to improve. He is skilled but he has to work on his position basics. He often leave space on the right side which give too much opportunities for our opponents to counter-attack. Le Guen is really stubborn. He better give another chance to Mendy who was pretty good yesterday.
- PSG's right side will be 100% brazilian. I hope Souza is solid and can cover his position otherwise this right side will still our weakness.
- Chantôme was crap once again. I assume that he had a few good games on January but Clement covered his position everytime against le Poiré-sur-Vie...
- Anyway, Everton Santos came to Nantes to be with the squad.
My ratings :
Landreau : 5,5
Armand : 5
Yepes : 5
Camara : 5
Ceara : 3,5
Clement : 5,5
Chantôme : 3,5
Rotheninho : 6
Mendy : 6
Luyindula : 6
Diané : 7

Ouch, looks as if Chantôme had a poor match. I've always thought Digard (who is injured now, I think?) would be the better player out of those two.

I was very impressed with the crowd and the energy of the home support. It looks like there were 28,114 people there (http://www.lepoiresurvie-vendee-football.com/merci.html) and that looks about right after watching the game on PSG TV. That coming from a CFA 2 team is incredible. I may be relatively new to PSG and to French football, but I can't imagine a CFA 2 team drawing a crowd like that happens very often.

Next up is SC Bastia, a team that is currently in fourth place in Ligue 2. It will be played at Parc des Princes on either March 18 or 19.
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coupe_de_France_de_football_2007-2008
Bastia beat AJ Auxerre soundly 3-0 at home yesterday. Impressive considering that was against a Ligue 1 team, although I'm sure there really isn't that much difference between a fourth-placed team in Ligue 2 and an 18th-place team in Ligue 1. If Bastia could move up one spot, they would end up switching leagues at the end of the season anyway.

PSG 3 - 2 Auxerre.
-----------------Pauleta----------
-----------Luyindula--------------
Rothen----------------------Mendy
------Clément-------Bourillon------
Armand---Yepes---Camara---Ceara
-------------Landreau------------
Landreau made another blunder...He needs confidence. Although he made a lot of mistakes during the past 3 games, his teammates and Le Guen are still supporting him. Right after Mendy's goal, Camara tried to make him feel better. We are in need of points. I hope he won't make another mistake against Bordeaux. French media is expecting for his mistakes. He has to help PSG to stick in L1.
By the way, Souza didn't start because he wasn't good against Monaco. Mendy was pretty good and he scored a nice goal though.
Here's a highlight of this semi-final :

Funny thing is that Landreau saved our asses numerous times last season. Particularly down the stretch run. I wonder what the problem is because it seems like a mental issue to me.

I don't believe in conspiracy theories at all, but has anyone noticed that this downturn in Landreau's form could have begun when Grégory Coupet was reinstated (in Domenech's mind, anyway) as the #1 keeper for Les Bleus? Those games were early in this month, and we all know what's happened since then.
All I will say is that I know that Landreau can turn it around, and he's the type of guy (I'm basing this on how he had been seen at Nantes) whom his teammates will always stick it out with. Every keeper will go through tough stretches, let's hope he doesn't turn into Dida. :)

Pauleta with a creative shot for goal in the 19th minute. We really need him down the stretch run.
