Competition: Carling Cup
Date: All Hallow's Eve - Wednesday, 31 October
Kick Off: 345 EST, 1945 GMT
Venue: Bramall Lane

The Gunners head north to Sheffield in hopes of continuing their unbeaten start to the season. It's a chance to see the Diarra, Denilson, Diaby, Bendtner, Hoyte and Traore, all of who have been hard-pressed to get first team action. We'll see if Eduardo can make his return as well. Will the kids be able to handle the Blades? Will any players get their first runout with the first team? We'll see on Wednesday, as lots of players are sure to be rested for the weekend fixture with Manchester United.

Mark down the time, as it's an hour earlier in the states than normal – the UK's gone to Winter Time and the U.S. hasn't yet switched to Standard Time.

2-0 Arsenal!

Subs..........Walcott....???

Tuff call whether to start Walcott or not. I really think we should start him for the ManU game. He really played well when he came on today. As for the rest its pretty obvious from here. ManU will not be playing a CC game so they are gettin all the rest they need at the moment.

This is what I would rather see. Should be enough fire power to take down Sheffield, yet still get everyone some playing time ahead of the big game on Saturday.

Diaby and Gilberto should start next weekend, so they need a full 90, and Bendtner and Walcott will probably be on the bench and feature at some point, so I'd have them playing a full game too to make sure they are more match ready come Saturday.

Does Hoyte not play CB? If he did/does, I'd move Gilberto to the middle and Diarra to RB

I really want to see Merida get major minutes.

The CB question is a bit of a problem but I don't think we should put Justin there. I'd let Gilberto take it and captain the side.

I really love watching us in the carling cup. The lineups above all look like qualities squads that should beat United. Lets hope this is the week of crushing unities into separates. (little cheesy i know)

Agreed. Games like these should give Bendtner, Walcott, Denilson, etc. a chance to stay sharp in case of injuries to any of the frontliners in the future.

2-1 to the Arse. Bendtner with a brace to feed his ever-expanding ego.

Hoyte---Gilberto--Song---Traore

Diarra

Denilson---Diaby

Merida

Bendtner---Dudu

Denilson, Diaby, Merida, Traore, Merida, and Dudu could all drift out wide when necessary, despite the narrowness of the formation itself and my typing skills. Thoughts???

Regardless of formation, 2-0.
