Apparently Tigerdave is in lock down for pulling someone else's hammy.
We play Reading down at the Madjeski on Saturday. Our away form is lacking and we have not kept a clean sheet away for 17 matches. On the other hand, we have had a pretty good run of form lately and the only one (who matters aside from Duff) not available to us is Viduka, who strained his calf running after an ice cream van.
Not an easy game by any stretch. We will probably start with the infamous 4-3-3 and resort to a bunker down and hoof it forward game of negative-but-gets-results longball; and unfortunatly due to their lack of width, Reading will probably do the same. therefore expect either a whole lotta nothing or nail biting theatrics...
Game is on FSC as a replay in the afternoon @3:30Pm CST. if its on Setanta please adjust accordingly.

I completly forgot that Duff actually played for us, is this a good or bad thing?

Starting Line-ups
Reading (4-4-2): Hahnemann; Murty (c), Shorey, Duberry, Sonko; Gunnarsson, Harper, Doyle, Hunt; Kitsonm Lita
Subs: Federici, Ingimarsson, Rosenior, Convey, Long
Newcastle (4-4-2): Given, Beye, Enrique, Cacapa, Faye; Barton, Butt, Geremi (c) Emre; Martins, Owen
Subs: Harper, Rozehnal, Milner, N’Zogbia, Smith
Wow Barton with the start and again no Taylor (between his performance at Citeh and his dad shooting his mouth of in the press I don't think BSA likes him very much at the moment).

No width in our midfield and too much longball to our midget strikers. We need to see some more possession and flank play in the 2nd half.
My changes starting at the 60th minute
Milner----> Geremi
Nzogbia----> Emre or Barton
Smith ------> Owen

We need Milner for Geremi in midfield, get some pace down the sides and get this defense a little unsettled.

Booooo. Kitson makes it 1-0 to Reading. Sam has gotta make more than one sub. Bad luck for Shay, really couldn't do much, especially when his defense leaves the red head open like that.

Martins off. Not sure I like this move considering that Martins has been playing with some nice energy this half.

He's got Zoggy and Smith up, I'll take those two.

I would have rather seen Owen off.

I would have rather seen Owen off.Agreed but BSA will always go conservative on the road and Owen is experienced.

Get Geremi out of there now!
The best defense is a good offense imo.

Own goal, that was certainly fortunate 1-1.

Emre needs to take every freekick and corner. That goal was complete luck, but Emre has a lot more luck than Geremi.

Awful defense! That was pitiful. 1-2.
