the adidas jerseys are form fitting too. but they fit normally. for example, i wear medium shirts and sweaters. and a medium adidas jersey fits right.

the nikes fit smaller. i have to wear a large, typically.

I always thought Nike sizing were inconsistant. Barca small was too tight while Arsenal training shirt s is too large, almost like medium.

Ok, here are just my printed Arsenal shirts. There is a Fabregas shirt missing from there, and my Euro shirt will soon have Fabregas printed on it as well. So in the meantime...

Those shirts of mine are a bloody site of absolute beauty!:p

I must say that it really makes a shirt awesome and extra special when you've got all the shirt patches and printing on them - it's just a pity that it is so costly. I'll be keeping my Arsenal shirt collection for years, but I just can't be sure if it's worth it to put out all the money for it.

I want to add the FA Cup patches to my Gilberto shirt, but that will set me back 15 gbp.

I'm replacing the Reyes shirt with a longsleeved player issue version of it. I want to put PIRES 7 on it, which will cost in the region of 12 gbp. Unfortunately, the sleeve patches for that season will be bloody 25 gbp, which is out of the question.

The Clichy shirt is sorted, and I'm most proud of it.

The GOD 14 shirt needs to be replaced. I want one with 'Arsenal vs Barcelona' on the shoulder, but the appropriate printing for the back is near impossible to find.

The Bergkamp shirt is a size too big for me, and I stupidly put plastic printing on it. I want to buy a medium, with lextra numbering and sleeve patches. That will be a bitch to fork out for.

My CL Fabregas shirt just needs the CL patch, which will set me back 12 gbp.

And then of course I have the lextra CL font coming for my new Euro Arsenal shirt. I haven't ordered a sleeve patch yet though. I'm still a bit annoyed that the player issue shirt has a plain blue panel on the back...it sora ruins me buying all the player issue printing for it.

I JUST received my 97/98 Arsenal away shirt in the post. I'm thinking that the stripes on the shirt make it busy enough without printing.

Anyways, what is every1 else's opinion on how worth it is to fork out the money for the printing for these shirts?

I definitely think you should. When it's all said and done, you'll be glad you payed the extra amount for them to look right. And about the longsleeve player-issue shirt, there's no point in buying it if you're not planning on having it completely printed. That's just my opinion...

Yea man iur COLLECTING, beit for yourself or later sale, it's ALWAYS gonna be worth paying the price to get it right. £25 for sleeve patches is admittedly alot, but when u got it done the satisfaction will be priceless compared to the annoyance of having such things unfinished or replicated cheaply/incorrectly. At the end of the day the few beer's you'll have missed because of it will be easily forgotten!

I've come up with a great alternative though. I've bought the 2003/2004 EPL Champions patches (worn in the 2004/2005 season) for the shirt. They only cost 7 quid, and they are indeed technically correct...as Arsenal wore the shirt as their 3rd shirt in 2004/2005. I'd call that sorted!:)

Don't you just love Reject Shop (for whomever knows what that is)? I got this for US$20, a year after it was released. Rejected due to stitching faults and size-print issues. Heavily worn, its quite a mess now.

Fake, as you can tell by the peeling sponsor logo. The stitching on the Swoosh is EXTREMELY fine, though. The shirt is very light. The material is the exact same thing on the Total 90 plain jerseys. Doesn't stick either. This went into the dry on LOW (or OW, like the tag insides says , haha ) , and came out like this.

Wow, I can't believe that those shirts wore worn 7/8 years ago. Thats sounds like ages ago, but then when you think of it, it's true. Time flies...

Tell me about it! I remember those times, when i didnt need to think about shaving on daily basis, didn't need to think about doing homework and/or studying, didn't need to think about where my next meal would come from, and amongst other things, girls. Pfft. Time flew too fast. Bloody hell, to be 16 again and not know the worries of life. Video games, guitars, jerseys, football and food. Great times.

You definitely hit the nail on the head right there mate. That's a big reason why Arsenal's Invincible team have such high importance for me - they came at a time when I was old enough to appreciate the football they were playing, and young enough not to have many serious worries in my own life. Everything in my life, like their football at times, seemed easy and pure - things just kept on going right. I guess having football shirts from that time is worth it in that regard - you open your cupboard, see the shirt, and not only do you remember the football, but also the times that went with it.

Kinda makes you sad doesn't it? I remember the years, from when I was 14 'til 19, and every wednesday and thursday morning, 3am, my dad, brother, 2 friends and me, we'd stay up and watch the CL games (I'm from malaysia ) , and how everything was great. Like you said, you open your wardrobe, see a shirt, and remember the times... I remember when United lost 4-3 on aggregate. Stunning hattrick from Ronaldo, excellent FK from Becks. Bittersweet that. I wore my United shirt under my uniform the next day.. Total contrast with the CL 99 win! I screamed, shouted ran around the house and literally shouted out of the windows when the 2nd goal went in. A police patrol car came around a few minutes later; they thought there was a domestic dispute going on!! I fell and hit my head, cut myself open too, but I went to school anyways and rubbed it in the faces of all the doubters :p

BlackKratos, I remember those two CL games clearly. The matches came on too late for me too stay up and watch them in the lounge, so I had to watch them in bed, on the TV I had in my room at the time.

Figo's goal in the first leg was amazing at the time, and then the 2nd leg was a perfect spectacle. I remember wanting to see Ronaldo do well, and for Beckham to score one of his trade mark FK's that I had been practicing in my garden for the last year. Well...you know what happened next. (BTW, I lived in Kuala Lumpur in 95/96)

Another match I also remember watching in my room was Arsenal's 5-1 at the San Siro. By the time Pires and Edu had scored, I was jumping up and down on my bed, going wild. What a night that was - and everytime I see an Inter Milan shirt, I remember those moments.

I'm glad to have received my away shirt from ebay. My parents bought me a fake version of it back in 1998, the season I first supported the club. It was the first Arsenal shirt I ever got, so I'm glad to have replaced it with a real one, and one that fits me again!

To me, Bergkamp will always seem mystical. He was the first footballer I ever knew of. He was my favourite player until Thierry came of age. To me, Dennis really could do no wrong because it was always cancelled out by the magical things he pulled off.

Pires, along with Thierry seemed invincible many times. Then suddenly, in 2005/2006, Pires began to play poorly quite often, and wasn't as reliable as I knew him to be for all those years. That really was something that I found weird to deal with. At least now I can watch him play for Villarreal every weekend. It's good to see him doing well over there.
