Looking forward to seeing those that are coming to games and looking forward to beating Liverpool and Man U. Plus going to Prague and Seville before I head back to Zimbabwe after the Seville game. Not to mention the Wigan game where we will have loads of people over for the game.

I am still getting PM's (well emails telling me that someone has tried to PM me as my inbox was kept full................!!) - any ticket ones will be ignored, please remember that.

Rick

Hey Rick, hope your trip was quite enjoyable.

I'll hold off on the PM considering it's current overflowing state, but I had some questions about this weekend. Don't know if Aaron passed on my concerns, but some information would really put me at ease.

Until Sunday :D (I think).

Schu,
Don't be concerned - meet where Rick instructs you to meet; he'll be there and you'll be seeing the Arsenal.

Feel free to post the same concerns in the travel forum, since many of us have been over and can probably answer the questions, taking a little of the load off Rick.

If only I could have this sent to anyone as a robotic reply for every PM I get Doug!!!!!!

welcome back there, rick. hope all's well in harare.

All is fantastic, the weather was great, swimming in the pool and the food was good as well. The nightlife scene in Harare is great as is the music scene. Saw some great bands and live music. Only annoying thing was that I was in Jo'Burg for the rugger.

It's getting there, on it's way. I have mainly been concentrating on my business in Harare. Jo'Burg is horrible!!!!!!! Much prefer Zim. I spent a few days in Durban and really and truely it is not real Africa, more like Europe in the sun.

Can't believe the weather I have come back to. Just waiting now to go back in a month.

Not that I want to pry, but I'm a bit lost on this whole Rick+Zimbabwe thing.

Okay, I want to pry; it sounds cool as hell. :D

I once knew a girl from Durban
Who had a prediliction for sin
She kept the boys humming
And constantly coming
'Round her place time and again

(true story)

Welcome home buddy.

I love Zimbabwe have had a home there for a few years and now own a business there. Have just spent the past few weeks there and am going out again in a month. Long term I will go there for good. Perhaps in the next two years or so.

I envy living in Europe, just because of its accessibility to the rest of the world. I love the USA and being American, but I also feel landlocked to my own country and continent. The idea of living in the UK, within easy reach central and eastern Europe, western Asia and northern Africa is a pretty amazing one.

The US is beautiful, massive and samples just about every type of climate, but to be a foreigner visiting another country, we've got Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean nations, and central America. Anything beyond those requires a hell of a lot more resources.

Damn, that is cool as hell. That's like my pipe dream of owning a retirement home on the Pembrokeshire coast...but you're actually doing yours. Good on you, mate. :D

What's wrong with that?

Rick...how do you get around in Jo'burg? My dad has travelled there a bit and he claims you can't go anywhere lest you be mugged/kidnapped/whatever. I think he's just being a wuss...... :p

I would disagree. It is far cheaper for you guy's to travel than for me. It's just your holiday entitlements. You guys have South America as well. To get to Zim for me remember is a 10 hour flight.

For me I am sick of the UK. It is too expensive, too restrictive and the weather is awful. Going somewhere where there is still freedom (relitively obviously) and the ability to make something of ones self holds a lot of attraction. Hence Zimbabwe is where I will end up................

he isn't being a wuss. Really isn't. It is so so dangerous. It's awful. We were escorted with guards everywhere. I hate the place, been there 3 times and have never liked it. Durban is much more relaxed but even there it isn't great. No walking after dark. Harare i can walk at midnight to my local garage with no fear what so ever. (not that it would be open at that time but you know what i mean!!!!!!)
