David O'Leary(another former Gooner) is the odds in favorite for the job according to a few papers in Scotland.

Well he'll just have to do a Walter Smith then. In all honesty, Ireland is in a better position that Scotland was when Bernie Voigots finally left.

Definitely true. They have the basis of a semi-decent team but need someone who will progress them to the next level. Much as I hate to say it, Steve Staunton was a massive backwards-step for them.
