Ok I can butcher an Icelandic name can't I. Anyways thought it was interesting that he was at Chelsea's CL game yesterday. Maybe a move back to The Bridge for him?

I'd like to believe so as he's wasting away on the bench at Barfelona. But who knows?

I believe he actually played quite a bit in their match against Rangers. i doubt it's anything more than Eidur coming down from Glasgow to hang with some buddies before flying back to Barca. Still, I would love to have him back.

"Their match". Exactly, he's played one almost full game in god knows how long. It's worse than what he was doing at Chelsea, and his only reason he left was because of it.

I would absolutely love to see him back but I doubt it.

I'd go with Guddy over Pizzaro in a heart beat!

Pizarro is better than Sheva, so a swap for Sheva and Guddy would be better for the long run.

I disagree.

I know you do, that's why I said it :p
Although look at the facts. Swapping a striker who is slow (no jibes, being truthful) in the most part and has lost his amazing touch for a striker we know can score for us.
Or - trade a striker who hasn't had a chance (unlike Sheva's whole season) but has still played well, and can always improve more than Sheva because of his extra time available (he's younger) for a striker who is almost in the same boat.

belletti signed.
ten cate brought aboard, with a barca blueprint plan.
guddy languishing in obscurity on barca bench.
how many times has a player returned to a club?
i love eidur and it gutted me when he left. now we've some serious depth and strength to the squad. if he came back he'd be in the same position, i fear - an occasionally started sub. i think the captain of the iceland team deserves much better.

Like starting once in every 10 games for Barcelona? :)

Thought your bullshit had stopped? Obviously not. A goal against a side that was already beat does not warrent play time.

Please NOT another Shevchenko thread. . .
Guddy was replaced by Ballack - he'd already moved to that midfield role - kind of. But we never should have sold him and we never should have bothered buying Ballack or Pizzaro. Eidur would be a greater asset to this squad than eother of those blokes. ho-Hum.
The papers today are linking Eidur to a Man Citeh move.

Not a goal, a movement, a desire, whatever you call it. He did score it, although he could have missed, after playing a combined 30 minutes in the last 4-5 games?
For Gudjonsen to go from obscurity to obscurity? Nah, ManCity is a much better option, with Bianchi apparently going back to Italy.

when someone says Pizarro is better than Sheva...
I have to point out the lunacy.

I understand that he was great back in the day, but things change and people move on mate. It hurts, it hurts.

and I'm not arguing that he is the same player as he was, but there is no evidence that suggests that Pizzaro is better.
