and here comes a decent test.
if we can have bridge & belletti in the lineup i think we'll be quite solid in back. paulo has done well recently but i think belletti adds a bit more with his ability to move the ball forward.

this is going to be a very difficult game. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes either way.

I'll be there singing loud and clear!
I'm a little sad that I won't get to see JT play on my first trip to Chelsea, but that's not going to get me down. I'll do my best to post some pictures and my impressions when I get back.
As for the game itself, I'm thinking 1-0 to us is a pretty likely result. Bridge should be able to handle Petrov down their right, but Bojinov is dangerous and their defense has also been very good this season. Lamps to get the goal on a 20-yard cracker.

I thought Bojinov was out injured.

Need to be careful and not concede any free kicks in front of goal, Elano has been deadly on those so far.

he still is. and petrov plays on the left, so it will be belletti/paulo who will have to handle him.

All I want for my birthday is a Chelsea victory.
Oh yeah and a Michael Essien Chelsea away jersey.

WIll be a tough game. I predict a narrow 1-0 victory. Micah richards will probably be man-marking drogba.

Bridge is still suspended according to BBC.

I'm not sure I agree with the feeling that it'll be a tough game, or that we'll manage a tough 1-0 win.
City are a new team, vastly inexpierenced in the prem and are going gung ho on the back of Elano, not to mention hardly stellar in defense against a good old fashioned ball hoofed up the park to a forward.
No, methinks they'll get a lesson from Chelsea, albeit perhaps not reflected in the scoreline.
We have the heart of our offense back, Drogba looking quite hungry.Richards is a fine young player, but still learning the game and quite likely to get a solid beating from drogba, in more ways than one.
I think our strong midfield will contain Elano to the point where he won't win the game for them, forcing them to look elsewhere and found wanting in the end.
I rather fancy a nice 3-1 win for us here :)

Sounds reasonable;
though I rather enjoyed the result ManUre was unlucky and might have won the derby by 2-4 goals on play on most other days, the schedule and a bit of fortuine has flattered Sven, they will be fighting for a UEFA spot not the top 4 soon enough is my guess

There should be a luggage check after the game just to make sure no one is trying SWP back with them......at least until they have paid the fee!
