That first goal celebration looks a little uhh... odd though.

Do you know if this is for PS2?

i dont know about the ref's but a few things have been fixed.

- supposedly on the new game the computer controlled defenders don't get unrealistic speed bursts and catch up to you when you are 20 yards in front of them with Carl Lewis. This is one aspect that really sucked and I'm glad they fixed it.

- There are less aimless passes. In WE6 often times your player would pass it to no one for no apparent reason. This has reportedly been fixd.

- Shooting is more logical. No more blasts over the bar simply because a player is within 5 yards of you.

What they should also change:

- no more hacking. It's ridiculous. On 4 stars the computer simply hacks you 10-20 times per match. No fouls, no cards, nothing.

- make the players easier to control (i.e. no more 8 directional). Auri mentioned his theory on 8 directional players but regardless, FIFA's players are easier to control and run at angles to the goal. Konami has always been weak in this area and it's 2003 - time to update thier game.

- let us pan the camera back even further.

- on 4 stars or extreme level, there should be less cheating. The computer should be able to beat you with clever passes and skilled defending. Instead they (as mentioned above) hack the hell out of you, their players are 5 times faster than yours, thier strikers defend better than Nesta, thier clearances always go directly to a teamate and they win 90% of 50/50 balls.

if they made these changes, added some Mexican and MLS teams then it would be perfect, even flawless. They really should do better graphics too. Thier graphics would have been ok on Dreamcast but it's 2003 and they should push the envelope a bit here.

also i forgot one thing...the player switching SUCKS in konami game whether it is manual or if it is automatic. it sucks. they need do redo it.

oddly enough there are a few things on MLS extratime 2002 that I like better than WE6. I like the 1-2 passes better. I also think the wingers are better in MLS ET. Also in WE6 when a striker goes for a long run, the other striker hangs back and waits. In MLS ET the other striker would follow you to the goal so you could make a low cross. I have no idea why you can't do this on WE6. Don't get me wrong, most of the other spects of the game ae alot better in WE6 but MLS ET is quite a game. Too bad the International section is such a joke though.

that means you can't kick the ball out the sideline?

I thought the shooting was logical. I would use a korean player, right infront of the goal, perfect time to tie up the game, and he would blast the ball like mile above the cross bar. I seriously thought it was realistic. breaking my heart just as the real teams.

honestly, i've never played winning eleven 5 or 6. but is the computer that hard to defeat? i played winning eleven 3 (it featured WC 98) heavily but the most difficult computer wasnt so bad. someone who have played both games can tell me.

After couple hours of gameplay i have decided this game is a bit more flawed than its most rescent predecessor.

The AI is smarter
Yes. Believe it. The AI's defense is smoother and smarter. It took me about 2 games to actually score a real goal playing with Korea.

The REF
Trust me. I dare say that the referee didn't change all that much. I just tapped a guy and the ref called shirt grabbing. For once, the ref called GK charging. I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Gameplay
It's not smooth as it can be. The graphics arent much better, the stadiums are all the same (cept for a few new ones), but horrendously fast players of WE6:FE seemed to be fixed. I remember when I could outrun everyone on the field with Carlos. On five-star difficulty, I outran everyone with my modified Lee Young-pyo from my end to the other. This has been fixed. Also, the camera angle is exactly the same, thanks to Konami. I love it. But a note to all you wankers that complain: there IS a camera option..where you can change the view..and all..

Overall
It's great. Whoop dee doo. Korea's amazingly better. The players look..incredibly unlike their real counterparts (cept for JAPAN's) but hey, its just a game.

However, if you guys are having fun with WE6:FE or the aforementioned game extratime, i guess you guys can wait for....WE7:Final Evolution.

But if you're winning enough points to buy Raul, Zidane, Beckam, Ahn Jung-hwan, Donovan, Nakata, Kahn, Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho in Master League divison 1, i say give this a try.

At least I love it.

(hrm..i sound like a game critic)

i hate this game.

Scoring a header is nearly impossible. Numerous times i have been called for hand balls. Numerous times my center defense was caught offsides. Uncountable times the computer hacked me. And i dont even play on level 4 yet cuz its so hard. bloody hell.
