Has there been any real news or information about a NY2 franchise besides internet traffic? Anything on Wilpon's front now that the Mets season is over?

Unfortunately not, other than that first Wilpon article. I have been searching for additional info, but so far no dice.

Again - and i am not means being pestimistic- it looks like Seattle is getting a team - I would not be surprised if we dont get a team by 2010 - the Mets have to wait until Citi Field is complete until they continue to develop. I really think we are going to get a second club - just right now I think the League likes Seattle and Philly for the fan base. Although I still think there is a solid shot we can get a team.

It all depends on how visable support becomes

Agreed Nick,we have to do some of the heavy lifting on this one. I think that if we organize(like we are about to)we can help move things along.

I think for sure that St. Louis, Seattle, and Philly will all definitely get teams. But I think that 4th spot is still up for grabs.

Right now it looks as if Portland has a much better shot at that #4 spot that NYC.

Yeah but if the Seattle thing is a done deal I don't know if the MLS really wants two teams in the Pacific Northwest.
