Jens has finally lost his patiance, He considers all of this "a humilation to him" said, some mean words to Almunia in an interview, Sort of implying it to young Fabianski as well, Not that Almunia's been the nicest guy to Jens, But Jens is the only reason so far we don't have a perfect season, don't get me wrong, he helped us out alot, But is it time for him to leave?

My guess, Is Lehmann saw how whe Gallas started talking pre-season, he got the captins armband, And he wants to go bye the same principil

Up till now, i thought Jens was a great keeper, and would get his chance back, But when you talk bad, about your own team? Now it's time to leave.

What do you guys think?

if he is sold, it should not be to another premiership club...that would make him motivated to play better against us

I hear Spurs need another keeper. Go on Jens, head over there for a few months and see how the mental abuse will make you long to be on the Arsenal bench.

his comments today were uncalled for. calling out arsene as well as almunia was over the limit.

For some reason i'm not that bothered. Lehmann has been a top keeper for years, he's won major trophies and played in the World Cup. The way he sees it, he's Arsenal and Germany's #1 and has now been dropped in favor of a Spanish journeyman. No doubt he finds that humiliating.

i understand that he thinks he's the number one,
but saying this,
'Wenger has spoken of three world-class goalies. I guess I must be one of them. The others have proven their class by winning titles? I'm just thinking about it, and I can't recall any. But yet today they are considered world class.'
and this
I am convinced I will soon be playing again. Almunia hasn't shown that he can win us matches just yet. I have been through this situation once and know how the other keeper is situated mentally. I can't imagine he will handle this.
in my opinion is taking it too far.

I would have preferred he keep his mouth shut, but i see his point. Would you call Almunia a "World Class" keeper?

I guess i'm not that bothered because he's not a kid who has proven nothing yet demands to be played. He's proven himself as an Arsenal player. The question is how much does he have left in the tank. He knows its his final season at the club and he doesn't want to spend it backing up a player he considers a nobody.

He has proven himself over the last few seasons, but has he proved himself this season? No.

If that's his reasoning then I understand it but I think he went about this the wrong way. Calling out teammates and the manager is classless.

Mad Jens' frustration is understandable, but it is unacceptable to be so disrespectful to Almunia, who IIRC has kept 7 (8?) clean sheets so far, and Fabianski, and above all to Arsene.

I absolutely agree. Yes, you vent your frustration by saying how disappointed you are, even to the point where you signal that you want to be sold. What Looney Jens did was taking the low blow and insult your teammates and manager. Who wants that kind of person in your team? We are better off without that cancer.

wtf are you serious...there are several points to dismantle this way of thinking.
1) arsenal players are supposed to show class, jens has not.
2) players are picked on form, if you are sucking and someone else is not they play end of.
3) if hes upset about not playing he needs to keep it internal and talk to the manager about, what is the press going to do, get him a starting spot.

OK, Thanks for that "dismantling". Points 1 and 3 are basically the same, and i've already addressed them by stating that he should have kept his mouth shut.

But let's move on to point 2. Jens made 2 mistakes that cost us. Since then he's played for Germany and done well. Is he still "sucking"? You can't really say.

Almunia has played competently, that's it. He's kept clean sheets in games where he's barely been tested, but also let in some soft goals. Does anyone think that Almunia is "World Class"? If we let him go, would he be starting for any other team in the Premiership? Personally, i don't think so. So i can understand Jens' point of view.

He made some good saves, nothing spectacular, but again, he was hardly tested. I know your a fan, but i just can't see Almunia being our starting keeper a year from now.

Well we'll see how the season goes. The reason lehmann is out, is because i think arsene is terrified of changing what has been brilliant so far. I know Lens wants to play, but until Almunia shows that he cant handle the net, theres absolutly no reason to change. Im sorry lens, but this is the premiership, you make mistakes, you loose your spot. Almunia has been fine so far, and changing him doesnt make sense at this point in the season.

If he wants to complain and bitch about playing time - fine, I understand that. He has proven his worth over the years, and yes he has played himself back into form so to speak with the German team. I don't have a problem with a world class player with hard earned silverware sounding off about not even making the bench.

HOWEVER.....

You do not under any circumstance threaten the manager ! Bitch about his selection, his tactics, say you're better than the other guy - but he absolutely straight out warned and threatened Arsene Wenger. Are we talking own goals here ? Retaliation towards other players or Arsene himself ?

Jens crossed a line here that no player should ever cross. For that he needs to be shown the door immediately.

Bingo, what could bringing back Jens possibly achieve? Whine to the media and you get your spot back? He stuffed up big time with those goals he gave up and now has to wait for Almunia to do the same to get his spot back. Why would anyone change a winning lineup just for the sake of it? We arent Liverspain after all.

We'll know more next wednesday when we travel to Sheffield. If he plays then he'll have an opportunity to reclaim his position, otherwise I fear that Jens may have a long 2+ months in front of him before a possible January transfer back to the Fatherland.
