In Every league there is allways one club not to liked by the rest...and in the Bundesliga i think its us....:(
No way. If anything, you guys are one of the more-liked clubs in the league. Bayern is by far the most hated by the fans and the other clubs.
You guys are the defending champions. You are basically getting everyone's best effort against you.
And when guys are that fired up, they will commit fouls. It's nothing against you guys.....

Don't worry, the VfB has a good name everywhere in the world. And in the Bundesliga is Bayern Muenchen by far the most hated club. Fukc them !

Yeah, I would never say we are one of the most hated clubs, if anything we are deservedly one of the most respected. I just think we get unlucky against referees all the time.

by the way, ich spreche deutsch ziemlich selten, hoffentlich ist alles verstandbar.

One of the Mexicans would be Salcido... but I don't think we could afford him since he's still got 4 years of contract in Eindhoven.

I took a few minutes that I had to spare, and went back and looked for the names of the players I was thinking of. First, to clarify, it was the u-20 youth championships (or u-20 world cup) that was in Canada this last summer.
The two main people, I was thinking of are Giovani dos Santos (who is I think at Barcelona and has a bright future there) and Carlos Vela (Arsenal). I think there are a few other folks from this u-20 team that are on the Barcelona youth side. Anyway, unlikely we could draw either of these 2 away unless something has happened in the recent weeks/months that would make them available or want to leave their current mega-clubs.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Dunno, but since this is the third season with such a shirt, i'm guessing it still runs for another two seasons after this or so. But that's just a guess.

Pachuca is a quality side. I've seen them play several times on TV in N. American tournaments and they typically are just the best team on the field w/o question. I strongly dislike their goalie, for what that is worth, he's an arrogant jerk.

In the news: Ljuboja now training with Wolfsburg. If he does well he'll get a contract there. Let's cross our fingers :)
Also: Langer transfer to Freiburg now confirmed.

Stuttgart plays tomorow in dubai against the 2006 Fifa club world cup champs Inter and no mention of it here?
I watched the game by streaming online. Here's what I thought of the game:
Lineup: Schäfer - Tasci, Meira (C), Delpierre, Osorio - Hilbert, Khedira (62. Farnerud), Bastürk (46. Pardo), Hitzlsperger (46. da Silva) - Marica, Ewerthon (46. Radu
In Defense:
Schaefer didn't have to do much, he looked too slow and out of sorts at the goal. The rest of the defense did well I thought, we were generally stable and compact. Meira and Delpierre were both very solid, Osorio I thought also played a good game, as did Tasci for the most part.
In midfield:
I would have picked Pardo as our best player yesterday in the 45 minutes he played. He was smart and efficient as always, even hit the woodwork on a nice freekick. Basturk was okay but he didn't show enough in my opinion. Hitzlsperger played quite well, as did Khedira. I didn't believe Hilbert had a particularly good game, especially when he was playing defensively he was slightly poor. da Silva was okay if a little mediocre, Farnerud I thought played very badly in the time he got.
In attack:
unfortunately none of the attackers scored, which would've been really nice. Radu was obviously the most interesting player to watch since this was his first game for us. He didn't play well, but that's excusable on his first runout. Marica didn't do that well on the whole, neither did Ewerthon, both of them being dangerous on only one occasion.
Overall:
There was practically no team chemistry and we didn't do well at all. For Inter, defending against us seemed almost too easy as we provided much too little harmony and creativity to be dangerous in attack. Thankfully it's still a long way to go until the second half of the season starts, and I await big improvements in the coming friendlies, starting with Ajax.

Note also Inter is coming off 1 month vacation. The players just reunited after christmas...i was surprised how well they managed to play under the circumstances. In the 2nd half stuttgart dominated after inter subbed out 5 players. Good game though.
