Time for some revenge for that pre-season friendly!
BTW, Can I use this thread to just express my complete satisfaction with Lell's progress and consistent performances this season?
It's easy to overlook a player like him when you've got Ribery and Klose playing to their potential, but Lell deserves a lot of credit. He has grown tremendously this season and has shown that he has the ability to become a top class fullback.

Meh, I'd still take Sagnol 10 out of 10 times over Lell. He still has a very long way to go. I'm pleased with him as a 3rd choice RB, no question about that.
Now lets get down to business: Let's see Schlaudraff in the lineup. Give Bastian a rest and let the man with pace get a chance to play from start. We can only benefit from it.

I wouldn't trade Sagnol for any RB in the world myself.
I'm just commending Lell on his progress this season.

Schweini def. needs a rest. He ran himself ragged against Dortmund frequently tracking all the way back to his own box to cover for Jansen.
I want to see:
------------Rensing------------------------
Lell---Lucio---Demichelis---Jansen---
----v.Bommel---Ze Roberto------------
Schlaudraff--------------Ribery------
---------Klose---Toni(Poldi)------------

I've been saying it for a while now how much better Lell has become. he has been a good constant in the back line for some time now doing whatever Hitzfeld pleases. i don't say much about him now because i personally feel he is playing better right now than Jansen and may even have more potential but i get persecuted for saying so. Lell has been solid, plain and simple. something we didn't know and even worried about with Sagnol being away with injury

I will join you on that. He has been asked to fill in Sagnol's spot, and done extremely well, progressing from match to match, so much so that when the team is in a pinch at CB, he gladly fills that role as well.
You have to love players who are there for their team through thick and thin.

Absolutley, Lell, so far in his career, has played RB, LB, CB and midfield. Versatility like that is great to have, especially when the player is equally effective in all roles. Before this season, there were people who thought he wouldn't remain with the team for long but I definetly see him staying on given his progress so far.
Who knows, we might not even need to spend big after Willy decides his time in Munich is up.

Me too. However, I fear that both won't be in the 'first eleven'...

Do you fear the 2nd league leader so much? :p ;)
Well, it seems you have to cope without him...

Lell has indeed been great for us this season ,surprised me a lot to be honest! He's been better than Jansen, but I personally think Jansen has more potential than him. Red, we will have Jansen-Lahm combo in the future and Lell as a perfect replacement for either, we definitely won't need to!
A 2-0 win would be great IMO, I would also like to see neki's starting line-up happen. I don't know why Schlaudraff is not playing though?! Hopefully, Kroos plays for 20 minutes. When he signs a contract when he's finally 18, we can hope he plays more.

A 2-0 win would be great IMO
A 1:1 after 90 minutes (like last season) would be even better! :)
But ok, you are the top fav team and should have no problems to win this home game in a sold out stadium...

I have to accept that Rensing is doing a great job. I hated him before but he's in perfect form. Obviously Kahn is better ;)

Looks like Franck won't be back for this match :(
Personally, as this doesn't seem a very high-risk game, I'd give Schlaudraff the start as well, and use the other starting winger spot to help Schweinsteiger regain some of his confidence. We all know how dangerous he is when he's on top of his game, and I'd like to have that going for us too.
If this game were away against a stronger team, I'd probably just start Altintop and Bastian.

I didn't get a ticket ... but I'd also not have travelled to Munich this time (I'm "busy" until 7 pm tomorrow).
Thankfully, the game is live on free tv.
Btw: Here's an interview with Marcell (should be a "special" game for him:-).

Wow, that was a great interview. I haven't had an opinion on him, but based on this interview he seems like a really nice, down to earth guy. Very good!
