Somehow Parky is losing the battle for Sierra Mist Goal of the Week. Everyone should go vote on Mlsnet.. Dichio is winning 58% to Parkys 30%.

I did too!

I can see why the vote may not be accurate. It's practically hidden!

as a side note, I like the MLS playoff bracketology stuff. I, of course, have the Revs going all the way :)

It's buried on the video/audio page...and even there it's not clearly marked.

For once..MLS should just close the voting and give it to Parky...If he doesn't win Goal of the Week..Then it will be the first time that Goal of The Year didn't win Goal of the week honors...

Really? that link brings me right to this week's voting. Parky's the bottom of the 5...weird that you're getting a different week.

It's probably the Red Patch Boys boosting their Boy. What, ya think they'd credit their lying eyes when instead they can give their beloved Deeekkkkkkkeeeeeoooooooo another slobbering smooch? :D

I'm a huge TFC fan. I love Dichio but I just had to vote for Parkhurst.

I was there and it was the most beautiful goal I had ever seen live (and I went to the World Cup).

Cheers!

36%.

Weird. I think its because you have to scroll down to get to him... but Dichio's down there too? I can't believe Parky's not getting it! Can he still get Goal of the Year? I thought that whoever chooses the Goal of the Year nominees chose from the GOW winners. Hopefully not. He still deserves goal of the year.

just simply looking at the goal, the revs goal is very rare, and impressive, and should probably win.

however!!!! looking at all the other "stuff" that goes along with it, for TFC supporters, Dichio's goal has far more value, so you can see why he might win.

value = down 1 goal in the 90+ minute in your home stadium last game of the year playing for the last place team and being out of the lineup for 8 games, coming in as a sub, scoring and sending everybody into a frenzy.

(ps...not to mention dichio goal was a "goal scorers" goal. the rev goal was due to an incompetent goalie not knowing how to position himself and being exploited)

Yeah, I get what you're saying, but still, this isn't "player of the week" or even "play of the week" (though Parky's could win that one too), its goal of the week. And man, was that a goal. I think the voters are biased with the situation.

Value: Parkhurst has put in the only shot he's ever taken. Doesn't that help? And his first career goal. And he managed to shut up TFC's fans. From what I've heard, thats quite an acheivement.

I think the MLS webmaster sees the problem. You know every week when they put up the GOW nominees on the front page, they put the five people together in one picture? Well, the front page today has one picture for the GOW. Yeah, I think they're trying to bias the voting. Good. :p

I lost all faith in the Goal voting crap when Balboa's bike didn't win goal of the decade......Win or lose goal of week MLS fans will never forget Parkhurst's goal. It speaks for itself.

did the guy from RSL end up winning GOW about 2 months ago? I think it was one of those argentinians. from what i remember, he shot from further away and was closer to the sideline. if dichio doesn't win, it better lose ONLY to parkhurst.

Ha! From here (http://goal.com/en-US/articolo.aspx?contenutoid=454644)

8:29: Insignificant result alert: New England and Toronto FC tied 2-2 earlier today. Michael Parkhurst scored on his first career shot from midfield. Talked to him earlier this evening; let’s just say he was a bit surprised about hitting the net on the fly from 60 yards.
