This will not be much easier than the Valencia game. Schalke is a very good team. Hopefully we get all 3 points from this game.

Schalke's decent. I'm a little worried about them.

I predict a 2-0 win for you blues. Maybe the missing fans of last time could be the key.

...which is what happens when you look on the wrong day! Sorry. Move along. Nothing to see here.

We had Lampard missing vs Valencia didn't we? And we still won. Me thinks another 2-1 win.

I like they way we've been playing. That said I think the defense without Terry will let one by. 2-1 Good guys. Lampard, Drogba.

It's time we crush someone.
6-0 win for us with a Drogba hat trick.

3-0 us.

Alex hits two. One from 40 yards out, and then another from the So Bar.

I say 3-1 goals from Drogba, Shevchenko, and Alex. I have a good feeling about the rest of the season. I think after that awful start to the campaign we are starting to play alot better and are gonna be a force to be reckon with. I cant wait I'll def be watching the game on ESPN 2 with my Manure loving best friend. He can finally see what real teamwork and talent is. GO BLUES!!!!

Not to be a downer or anything but Robert Huth also had an awesome shot and was great at free kicks. I also wonder if Alex/Terry is a good combo at the back. Time will tell. don't have to worry about that tonight. What our defence needs is a fast CB in the Gallas mould perhaps? Always liked that Micah Richards bloke at citeh me-self.

Anywho. Tough game. 2-1 or 3-1 Chelsea would do it. What would be nice would be to see a great perfomance from a player who isn't Drogba or Lampard.

I don't recall Huth ever actually scoring a goal from a free kick though.

Not that I expect Alex to be freescoring though. 2-3 goals like that in a season would be more than enough. I doubt he's struck many balls sweeter than the one against Boro.

As CBs go, he should get more goals than most. As we saw on Saturday, he can strike a ball amazingly well. He would not have been taking that shot from a FK if it wasn't assumed that he had a somewhat reasonable chance to put a dangerous shot on the frame. He's also really good in the air from set pieces - just ask Arsenal.

Lamps has said that Alex beats Cech from 40/50m all the time in practice, seems to have some of Juninho's magic.

Fair enough, I hadn't heard that (what Lamps said). Perhaps 15-20 goals is more accurate;)?
