Dida suspension halved, will only miss Wednesday's Champions League match. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/7049010.stm)

Riquelme...at Juve? Interesting... (http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/oct22f.html) The Yellow Submarine didn't need the Argentine as they rudely took out an albeit injury-filled Barca side on Saturday... (http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2007/10/22/villarreal_thrive_in_riquelmes.html)

Steve Staunton about to hit the bricks. Gig in the Championship to follow in the months ahead. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/internationals/7056354.stm)

Greg Ryan, your time is (seemingly) up. (http://blog.washingtonpost.com/soccerinsider/2007/10/greg_ryan_decision.html)

So much for the fix. Another note...Chris Armas may not be headed out the same door Cobi just left from... FWIW, the sideline reporter for Channel 50 (the local channel that broadcast the game in Chicago) interviewed Armas on the field after the game, and asked Armas if this was his last home regular season game. My recollection is that Armas attempted to dodge the question a bit by saying that he wanted the season to end and he'd think about retirement, but he concluded by stating that it was likely his last home game. He didn't clarify if that meant he would retire or if he would likely move on to another team.
