I just want to take the time to thank everyone who has made the section become alive and kicking beast. I for one didn't expect the section to blow up like it did. When we went into meeting at the the beginning of the season the goal we had in mind was 150-250 tops. Well we blew that out of the water all season long. The "Build the Cauldron" night there was around 350 folks who bought tickets for the section. And the last game of the year there were over 500 tickets sold. There is alot of positives that came from this year, and now we are headed in the right direction to getting taken care of or catered too.
Thanks to everyone once again.

There's a reason many other people around the league are calling us the most improved section this season. Props to the entire leadership and anyone else that helped for their work in this process.

I chuckled at in pre-season meeting when we said we would shoot for 150- 25- in the Cauldron this season. To have us end the season averaging over 300 per game, and topping 500 for the final home game is just amazing. When you consider last season we averaged between 50-100 per game....what a change.
It was the result of a lot of hard work, and expense, by a lot of people. A special kudos to Kathie for her work at the beginning of the season, visiting local High Schools and Colleges to get more interest in the Wizards and the Cauldron.
People like Sazzy, stepping up and fronting the money and manpower to create the flag tifo.
Wings of a Sparrow producing what is arguably the best tailgate environment in the league.
The newly formed Cauldron Leadership Group working to make sure everyone has a great time at the tailgates and games. I know for me it was a learning curve...things that worked well, things that could have been handled better....but I (we) learned as we went along.
The Wizards Front Office, stepping up on many occasions to help make the Cauldron what it has become.
And everyone else to did what needed to be done to make the Cauldron successful this season!
Here's to a tough season, off and on the field, and to many more to come and to continued growth in the Cauldron. We're aiming to be the best in the league...and I truly think we can get there with everyone's help and support!

I just wanted to say thanks, too, to Sam and Jeff. Without Jeff's invitation I probably wouldn't have attended a game at all, let alone joined the Cauldron for two of the last three games, and waved a flag and sang and shouted till I was hoarse. I had a great time, and my only regret is that I wasn't there from the beginning.
Here's hoping there'll be at least one more home game this year!

Well here's my two cents on this...THANK YOU! I BIG THANX TO STU, WHO FOUND THIS LONLEY WIZARDS FAN DOWN IN SOUTHWEST MO AND GOT ME TO COME TO THE GAMES INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIND THEM ON SAT. TV OR ONLINE. THANX TO SAM WHO HAS HELPED ME GET ALL MY TICKETS TO HOME GAMES AND NOW I WILL BE A SEASON TICKET HOLDER TO THE CAULDRON NEXT YEAR.
A BIG THANX TO ALL CAULDRON MEMBERS (SPOON, KUHNSCOOT, KATHIE AND ALL WHO I HAVE SPOKE TO AND FORGOTTEN NAMES DUE TO SOME BEVERAGES), YOU GUYS ROCK!!! THE FOOD WAS GREAT! THE FRIENDSHIP WAS AWESOME! THE FLAGS (WHICH I STILL THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TAKE THE ONE JIMMY CONRAD SIGNED HOME) WERE A GREAT SURPRISE!

Thank you to everybody, most of whom have been enumerated above. I think we've seen what can happen when The Cauldron is a front office priority, and dedicated fans take their efforts to the next level, which everyone did. Unbelievable work this year from AG and the Wings of a Sparrow crew, Jeff Szajnuk (as always) going above and beyond the call of duty on several occasions, and the Cauldron leadership group playing a key behind the scenes role in dealing with the security problems, not to mention the early and continued outreach efforts. Kathie, you're a superstar, and the best ambassador the group (and the Wizards) could hope for.
Thanks, too, go to Flavio, Dario, Noel and the rest of La Porra/La Doce for bringing new energy into the section and, frankly, adding to The Cauldron as both an attraction and as a force inside the stadium. Wizards, nuestro buen amigo.
Thanks to all the new people in my demographic who became Cauldron regulars over the last two years, including folks like Mike S. who moved to town and slid right in, Adam J. and Matt I.
Last, but not least, thanks to my favorites of the newcomers, the teens and college-aged folks who had been coming to games for years with their families, and started coming this year on their own to the Cauldron, often bringing friends new to the team. Keep it up.

I love the clips of La Porra/La Doce. They add soccer cred to stands.
Keep posting the video clips on youtube.com. It works. I use think that Sounders had lame fans until I saw them on youtube and I converted.
Have the front office get the local spanish networks do segments of La Porra\La Doce. You'll be amazed on the amount of new fans that will show up in the section. La Porra will need crazy hats and scarves in Spanish.

I was never in the Cauldron, and I only got to come to one game (Wichita's a ways off if you're a minor... ^^;), but when I bought by KC Supporter's Scarf, you guys made it easy, and gave me something I take pride in wearing. Plus, when I watched EJ score his second hat trick (that was a hell of a game) you guys went wild. It was fun to be a Wizard fan.
Hopefully, I'll be on YOUR side of the stands soon. :D
