Mexico 2007 Record: 13-8-2
Against Concacaf: 5-4-0
Against Conmebol: 7-4-1
Everyone else: 1-0-1

The Good::)

-Third place in Copa America that included victories against 3 world Cup squads, that included a shallacking of Paraguay.

-The emergence of the young talent that will make up South Africa. We are in a good position for several years. Guardado, Castillo, Dos Santos, Vela, Araujo, Arellano and many more.

- Good overall record against Conmebol.

-No Maza, Bravo, Kikin and Bofo. That ship has sailed. (I hope)

The Bad: :confused:

- Loss at Azteca

- No European fixtures at all

- Mini revolt during the Gold Cup

- Too many games in the US

- 3-0 loss to Argentina in the semifinal

The Ugly::mad:

- Two losses to the US in our first game in 2007 and the Gold Cup final. No Confederations for us.

-Crap record against Concacaf, where we struggled to beat teams that we should have gang banged, add two losses to Honduras and Guatemala,and thats not something that brings a smile to your face.

- Hugo Sanchez. Blaming the pitch, changing the green, and not changing his formation are one thing, but his lack of tactical know how really cost us some games. His moves against Argentina were terrible, and Im not even going to mention the moves he didnt make. (Making Guardado and Venado switch side anyone) Convincing Nery and getting third place in Venezuela are the only good things he did that I could think of. I really hope Hugo has abbeter 2008, hopefully he learned alittle from 2007.

Please feal free to add or to take away, it isnt a discussion if we all agree.

The good: Last nights game is over.

The bad: Villaluz plays defense like a Guatamalan.
The "Golden Generation" is looking more like aluminum foil.
Sanchez likes to sub at the end of a game.

The ugly: The Chivas players with the exception of Arellano.
Esparza was the worst player on the field for Mexico and should of been subbed out in the first half.
The refs missed penalty kick call at the end of the game.
Guardado and Salcidos insistence on taking long range shots.
Our goalie looks like a drag queen and plays worse than the last guy to defend the net for Mexico.
Valadez. Who the hell is that guy? I didnt know Sanchez was grabbing people from the stands.
Every Guatamalan that stepped on the field.

The "Golden Generation" is looking more like aluminum foil.

It's funny because it's true.. :D :p

I think we are expecting too much from the Golden Generation. I mean the last time we had anything remotely close to them; Only Marquez came through, and we didnt even qualify to the Olympics. Anyways, I have faith in the Golden Generation that they can leave their mark in the Olympics, their last youth tourney before they transition to the senior team.

I saw a lot of good from the Guatemala game, especially that a lot of these guys got a taste of Concacaf football and fields.

The good.- The kids got a taste of what playing against hungry, determined, CONCACAF sides will be like. I feel the disappointment as much as the next guy, but I think this defeat will be a wake up call (It damn well should be) to our Olympic bound squad. Hopefully they learned they can't go on the field 'medios dormidos' against teams determined to hack them down.

The bad.- The two losses to the USMNT this year, considering we had our A team on both occasions.

The ugly.- No trophies. We were left out of the Confeds Cup in '09, Which would have been a perfect opportunity to test the team against top competition.
