I am thrilled to have City back! Damn international breaks.
Can't wait.
Another 3-1 victory would be great :D.

Anyone thinks that Andreas Isaksson will be our #1 @ this match since he played well during the international break?

I think we should be fine this game. I am definately expecting a win and I don't want any surprises. I couldn't care any less about the score as long as we get the 3 points.
I am actually more concerned with the upcoming matches after B'City. We got some tough away games like Chelsea. Chelsea is in turmoil right now but it's still a solid team with Terry and Lampard.

Just thought I would let you lads know that Setanta Broadband will supposedly be featuring the City v Birming'm match live on the 'Broadband 2' channel at 10:00 EDT on Saturday (I am in the US for the next week an half and got the service so I could watch).
I do not know if they listed the time incorrectly, though, seeing as the match starts at 15:00 UK and EDT is -4, so it should be at 11:00 EDT. Either way, I would just plan for 10:00 EDT.

I'm wondering the same thing - at http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/football/premier-league/2007-2008/man-city-birmingham-195509.html , he's in the "expected starting lineup" but I haven't heard anything anywhere else.

For anyone in the DC/NOVA area, i'll be watching the match at Kitty O'Sheas. You going to be there Cityblues?

Brava, I actually got in an accident today while on my bike so I am pretty banged up. stitches in the chin, offset jaw etc... so i dont know if i will make it to kittys. i will try though, they listed the time on the website at 10am so i am assuming that is accurate.

I really want to see a more experienced goalkeeper to start, but well, Hart is doing great lately ...

I would like to see a 2-0 or 3-0 result. We should really be able to hold them to a scoreless effort. Even if Elano cannot go (he supposedly will trot out), we still have enough to make short work of B'ham at home. No distractions or thinking about Chelsea next week... take this win and stay in the top 3!

Elano. I know I sound like homer but jesus, You got Fabergas playing amazing and then you have our Brilliant Brazillian. IMO #1 and #2.... Sammy, get in there and get Dirty, prove to us that our 6 million guy is more worthy of playing time then our 9 million guy.

I only have a couple of minutes before my flight but, I feel the need to say that was one of the worst performances City has had since last season. Scrappy play all-around and very little creativity to speak of.
That said, Elano's goal was completely right, as Muamba had already fouled Johnson before Mikey made his challenge. In fact, if you look closely, Johnson does make fair contact with the ball and it does seem Muamba intentionally pulled up and fell for the foul.
The rest of the match was pure shite and B'ham nearly equalized several times (especially when Hart went so far off his line he could have bagged a pint before heading back in goal). I hope it was the international break causing the back line to play so poorly and that our tie with Chelsea sees better midfield play as well.

At least we squeeked out with a win... that would've been awful to draw or lose before we play Chelski away next week.
Here's to Villa upsetting Utd.!

Agree completely. This is City of the old days, struggling against a side they should easily have beaten. Again, too many sloppy passes and the tempo wasn't there. Hart needs to be coached on how to deal with crosses into the box! With B'ham attacking so readily, we're lucky to have got the three points.
I'm positive we'll 'up' our game for the Chelsea match. :D
CityBlues: our performance today wouldn't have had you jumping up and down, so no additional pain, just a migraine from all the frustration! Wishing you a speedy recovery. :D
Come on you Blues
Just lucky to get away with the result.
Mark of a good team, Winning when your not at your best.

Completely agreed...the city of old would not have gotten a favourable result.

I have a feeling Eriksson will get into City for their off game, and I have 100% confidence we will be ready for Chelsea.
