The late 2 goals you mean? Hell, I even remember how pissed Cuducini was

Thanks so much for starting this. The last week has been rough with nothing to do but get in fights on the board.

Like I said after the Bolton game, this international break came at a really bad time for us. Now we've got no LB available. Anybody think Grant might go three in the back? I honestly think it wouldn't be that bad an idea. Better, at least, than having TBH trying to play fullback on that side.

-----------Cech-----------
----Carvalho-Terry-Alex----
Belletti---------------------
-------Lamps-Essien-Malouda
-----------Cole------------
-------Kalou--Drogba------

Yeah it's an attacking lineup, but it could work. Malouda's played well at LB for Lyon in the past, and we know that Essien has the energy and pace to get back there to cover too. On the other side, Belletti plays a defensive-minded RM, moving up when he can - kind of like Melchiot used to do sometimes under Ranieri.

I think it's a little more radical than we're likely to see from Grant, but I'd be interested to see if anybody can come up with anything better with Bridge or Cashley able to go.

My God it seems like it's been forever since the last game.

Sinclair is going to miss out, again.

Would love to see Joe Cole and SWP starting, they have been excellent this month.

Hmm...Blackjack's idea of playing Malouda as a wingback of sorts is probably a decent idea. My issue is that 3-5-2 and 5-3-2 really only work in Spain, and even there such formations are risky and slowly becoming outdated. The solution for the LB problem, at least somewhat, is that Ferreira can also play there. He's virtually made the spot his own for Portugal.

I'd probably go with this line-up, just to be safe and avoid the sticky situations that arise from employing wingbacks along the flanks:

-------------------CECH--------------------
----------CARVALHO----TERRY--------------
-BELLETTI------------------------FERREIRA-
-----------------MAKELELE-----------------
--------------ESSIEN--LAMPARD------------
-W. PHILLIPS-----------------------J. COLE-
-------------------DROGBA-----------------

According to the Mirror, Sinclair is going out on loan with Sunderland being the main contender:(

I hope it's not true, Lobo. I think he could be very useful.

I'd like to see

---------Cech--------
Beletti-Carvalho-Terry-Paulo
SWP-Lamps-Essien-Cole
--------Malouda-------
------Drogba--------

I hope not I think he should be getting a lot more pt for US not elsewhere.

And now JT is is out of the Russia match locking his knee latre in practice, as I've said before, and now Carv is back, so make his ass sit until he is healthy regardless of Jt's desires, very shortsighted to let his body break down piece by piece

Avram could do worse than make the same choice Scolari does.

No joke. Especially when Ben Haim has shown nothing but bad performances at that position so far. I would like to see a three-man backline of JT, Alex, and Ricky, but if we end up with 4 in defense, Paulo has to be on the left.

Paulo is sometimes even slippery at RB, so I wouldn't trust him for LB really. Plus I'd rather have an attacking formation, because our midfield can handle it. Lampard, Essien, Malouda, Sidwell etc, and we also have our 3 strikers in Drogba, Pizarro and Kalou with Sheva as another option.

With ACole out, we don't have a better defensive full back in the squad, who would you put in?

I know, not the best choice but this game is fairly important and three at the back will either be great, or awful.
