No disrespect, your son can't drible the ball??? I mean run towards the goal and kick towards the net is small time stuff, any 5/6 years old from my neck of the woods can do that. By his age he should be able to aproach the goal and put between his legs, or around, over the guy or drible da vaca ou "de letra" and etc. That adds some real class and style. In my hometown here in Brasil there's HUNDREDS of kids that can do WAY better than that as a striker. He wouldn't make it on the trials on my kids team. Work on the finish man, put some finesse on that goal.

Not bad but those kids he was playing against are pretty horrible.

Your son seems like he has potential tho

Finding competition at his age can be difficult in this area. Also those kids are 2 years older then him. The best news is he loves the game, and loves to play.

no matter how u dribble. He scored and it was a good goal!!

he was a lot better than me at his age, but ive still managed to play semi-pro and im only 16 at the moment. I can get a lot higher.

your son defo has potential.. keep in playing at the highest level at an older age.. he will mature as a player quicker.. tell him to keep working hard keep loving the game.. and if he takes it serious enough he will defo accomplish something with football

Great stuff showing a kid having fun.
That is what the game is about.
Let them have fun and grow at their own pace.
Remember, for 99% of players, soccer goes away at some point and they have to face life. I like his aggressive finishing rather than pulling up.

Okey, first of all, this kid is what, ten? So why do upload a ten-year-old boys video to the Youtube? So that ManU would see the video, and they would give your son a contract? C'mon you people. Let your children play. I hated when my father was too ambicious with me. I just wanted to play. So let your children just have fun.

PS: If that video was posted just for fun, then forget what I said :D

The video was posted just for fun. I really have no expectations. I just want my kid to love the game, and he does. He also loves watching video of himself playing. Does he dream of being professional? Of course he does. The issue I have is what do I say to that? Only a few people go pro, or you can do anything with hard work. oh, and by the way he is 8. :D

potential. BUT, if it was my son he WOULD hear it from me if i saw him celebrating like that after goals.

Celebrating is part of the fun for him.....and I refuse to take fun out of the game. Therefore I do not care if he celebrates, and plenty of parents from the other teams have told him they like his celebrations. So, I am not to worried about it.

I would definitely recommend you tell your son to at least not celebrate as much as he does. Like maybe a punch to the air or a small victory run...he celebrates more then me.

i thought his celebrating was fine, he ran around alittle bit after the first goal, but made his way back to his position, keep up the good work, great to see parents supporting their kids, good luck with him!

Critical,

Nice music and video - cute kid.

One thing that jumped out at me is that he didn't touch the ball with his left foot at all. Force him to use his left.

I think its great to see parents supporting their kids so enthusiastically.

I never like my parents at my matches because they are critical, and know little about football...

My u/17 team won the league on the last day of the season. I was left back, and the other team put maybe one attack down my side of the field for the last 20 minutes of the game...which is the part that my parents watched.

I got in the car after the game, happy at the fact that we had one the league...and my dad says to me, "You didn't even do anything, so whats the point of you being on the field."

What a sh!thead.

Good player for only 8... Shows good instincts around the goal. Keep him playing up as long as possible. He needs to get pushed around a little bit. If I were you I would find a professional skills coach to work with him for an hour every few weeks. Obviously he doesn't NEED that much help, but it can only make him better... Also have you ever tried futsal?

Nice man... He seems to play pretty mature for such a young kid, the way he moves and finishes, I liked it :D
