What are the football lines on the field from? I don't get to see Pumas much but I don't remember ever seeing them before.

I was at the game today. Another great victory although once again, it was more taking advantage of how awful was Tigres than playing a great game. There were times where we gave control and we didn't generate that many chances. Still once we took the lead, Tigres barely threatened and Bernal didn't have to work a lot until the 3-0. We missed a lot and I still don't get how Solari missed that shot. Overall nobody had and outstanding game. Scocco, Barrerra and Sambueza all had flashes but I thought overall, they had dissapointing performances. The defense was probably the best thing especially taking into account that we didn't have Dario Veron. Still its great that eventhough it was a lackluster performance, we still kicked Tigres butt 3-0. And also Tecos gains 3 points against Tigres in the descenso standings, so that great for me too.

Also I really don't get all the hate against Kikin by other Pumas fans. He was key in our bicampeonato. He gave it all when he played and eventhough he left, it was a money issue and he did with the blessing of the institution. Yet they booed him and gave him crap whenever he touched the ball. On the other hand two weeks ago, Marioni came and people didn't give him crap eventhough he was poison to our team, totally broke the clubhouse of the bicampeonato and screwed Hugo and España. I don't get it.

The first time Marioni came back, with Toluca, he got heaps and heaps and heaps (he also got heaps at Cienciano 3 - Boca Juniors 0 - but only from me, I happened to be in Cusco at the time)

Well I thought we looked great at 0-0 but shaky from 1-0 onwards, maybe thats why they don't want to score.

Actually the goals came at exactly the right time, Tigres were growing, and each just knocked them back.

Thought Sambueza, Scocco and Solari are showing great movement and understanding together, if they start finishing.... Scocco missed two good chances, Solari one sitter (how has he got nine this season?), and a couple more went begging ... Barrerra looks good (better on left) but his crossing is shocking ... needs to work on this....

Believe me a repeat of 5-0 would have been a fairer reflection, and really could have been .... at least.

Pumas is orginally the nickname of the american football team, and the CU stadium was actually built for them. Notice how the stadium stands accomodate more people "between the 20's".... Pumas have they colors they have as an homage to Notre Dame.

Tigres are also named after the UANL's american football team, which is why the gridiron team are known as "los autenticos" as in los autenticos tigres. They also play in a stadium that was built originally for american football, as was the Tecnologico in Monterrey.

Yay!! 3-0 altough pumas didn't play a great game, its a really good thing that Sambueza is finally recovering from his injury, he's a really important player for the team. 3-0 is a good result but we could have scored more.
