What's the best TV channel for the most, top-flight English Premier soccer? And do any broadcast on HD?

Speaking of HD, will ESPN show any of the CL matches on HD?

I figured they would, but I guess they haven't started yet (they haven't been on HD on ESPN2HD yet). I wonder why not. Sky broadcasts in HD, so I don't understand why it's hard for ESPN.

Clocks in Europe and the UK go back one hour on Oct. 28th, so is this match actually on @ 10 AM ET?

I think it works the other way around and the game is at 12 pm ET. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I think this also works for the Carling Cup match and the ManUre match. The US doesn't hit daylight savings until Nov. 4th so any games played between Oct. 28th and Nov. 4th will be affected. Then again, i could be completely wrong.

Disagree. Game will be at 12 noon ET. There is usally a five-hour difference. So the 4 pm game in England this Sunday will start be at 11 ET. When England "falls back" earlier than the US, the time difference will decrease to 4 hours. Hence the 4 pm game on Oct. 28 will be at 12 noon ET. Hope that hepls...

Thanks. I've been watching on Setanta broadband and was curious what was out there on TV. I hope HD comes available at some point.
I noticed some games are broadcast on Sky Sports? Is that not available in the US?

I think one might be able to get it through some foreign package of some sort, but I've never seen it. It certainly wouldn't be cheap.

Looks like Fox Soccer Channel is on cable and Setanta is satellite. What's your opinion on which gets the better games, or is it a tossup? (I don't care any about MLS)

As far as 'better' games, the only ones I really care about are Arsenal's. I do like the general programming on FSC better, because of Sky Sports News and the Fox Soccer Report, which are excellent highlight/news shows, as well as Fox Football Fone-In on Tuesday nights.
Setanta grabs plenty of quality matches, as well, but you have to budget $15 extra per month. That's $180 on the year; cheaper to go to the local pub if it's close by.
