It better be an entertaining match: because of obligations later in the evening I will be (relatively) sober at the game, so I'm gonna need the game to provide that extra zing normally supplied by a constant stream of crappy beer... ;)

SJ hasn't looked to good the last few games, especially in losing to the Rapids. They need much better play from their forwards.

A heads up to everybody who tailgates in Lot 8. The youth soccer club I work for (PWSI) is having a tailgate party in Lot 8 (don't know where exactly) for people who bought tickets from us. We have something like 300 tickets to sell (have sold about 150 so far) so there could be a bunch of little kids running around (they are starting around 1:30 or 2). I don't know how that will impact the drinking, but I figured you all deserved a fair warning.

Also we have been told that a DC United player will make an apperence at the party (don't know who), so that is something to keep an eye out for.

As for the game, Ali has a break through game, two goals and an assist to Santino. DC wins 3-1.

We have a chance to be in a tie for third place if we beat San Jose. NE is at Chicago and they'll be without Pierce stoll (injury) and Llamosa and Joseph (yellow card). One would have to favor the Fire against that patched up defense. KC is at C-bus, which should be highly entertaining and again, I'd favor KC and that offense against the McBride-less Crew.
