River now only want to sell 100% of the transfer (worth approximately $16 million):

Just heard Falcao won't be going to flumi, instead he might be going to England(Aston Villa ) If he goes, I hope he won't end like Angel.

I rather see him at Fluminense than Aston Villa... Aston Villa lacks creative mid fielders....

if he goes to that piece of shit club, hes gonna get lost. they have no ambition. they never even make it to the uefa cup atleast. I mean look they have Carew and 2 other young guys. they have strikers. everything else sucks!!! horribly. i think Valencia would be the perfect place for him to go seeing as how theyre pretty screwd right now. even thought they have villa they still need someone with conviction like Falcao, not only that but he could take alot of weight off of villas shoulders. he could compliment david villa very well.

Its just speculation. Will chat up some friends in Birmingham to see if there is any discussion over there.

Efer - Fair Play is a school run by an Argentine (I think named Silvano) in Bogota. They arranged Falcao's move to River.

Here is the link to the story that originally brought up the link to Villa:

http://www.eldia.com.ar/edis/20071204/20071204212610.htm

BTW, Villa is under new ownership and has been investing heavily in improving their side. They have the best manager in the EPL (outside of Wenger and Ferguson), in Martin O'neill and terrific young talent in Ashley Young (England's future left winger) and Gaby Agbonlahor (striker for the English U21 team). Stilian Petrov has been inconsistent, but showing flashes of his Celtic play more recently too. And their fans LOVE Colombians....

I'm biased on this as a diehard Villa fan, but with Randy Lerner as owner, the side is dramatically more ambitious than under Doug Ellis, and will challenge for a Uefa birth this year.

ryu I'll do you one better! I hope Falcao gets signed by Spains Cadiz! they are turning their fortunes around and without a doubt they will maybe hopefully end up in the Spanish first division one of these upcoming seasons!
Cadiz is a team with a great history! I would love to see him there!

That's a stretch CtrlAltDel! But I take your point - we definitely suffered a lot at Villa during JPA's time. However, Villa have invested really well over the past couple of years bringing in Young, Reo-Coker, Carew and have looked strong this year. Good win at Chelsea earlier this year as well. They are two wins off of a Champions League spot and firmly in the UEFA competition. Lerner and Co. are running a tidy ship, on every level improving everything from relationships with fans, quality of player signings and even little things like the kit manufacturer. Lerner is the second richest owner in the prem (after Roman) and is turning the club into a legit org.

That said, it looks to be just agent talk...

According to this report fresh off the press:

Falta acertar detalhes do empréstimo.
