I've only just left England, but already these are some of the things that I miss,
Sky's Soccer AM on a Saturday morning,
Winkles & cockles from the local fishmonger,
real ale from any of the pubs,
pie & mash from Manzes,
watching Prem league football on a Saturday afternoon,
taking me Granddaughters up the local park, (via the pub on the way back)
having a chat with Theresa on the phone,
going down to Upton Park on matchday,
oh sod it, the list could go on forever, but those are some of the things that I miss.

Now stop being a tight sod Brian. You can phone T anytime.....that she is awake of course. International calls are peanuts now.
Can't you get sky in NZ???? I'm sure it can be fiddled by paying the bill in England.
As for the rest..........Yep, me too.

Sky tv gives excellent coverage of football down here Tony, and what with ESPN showing the European games, (CL) it isn't too bad for a small country that's obsessed with playing a sport using a strange looking squashed ball.

Don't knock the other game Brian. I played football for Melford and Rugby for Sudbury. Cricket too. I also played Sunday league football and played golf... How the bloody hell did I find the time? Oh yeah, I almost forgot the darts team for the George and Dragon on Fridays. The last one was just for the beer. Greene King, of course.:D

I used to play football for the Kings Head pub in Gt. Cornard, played darts for them too, but my biggest sporting achievement was when I used to play rugby, and was selected for the Welsh schoolboys side when we lived in Newport, (my Dad was Welsh) against England at Cardiff Arms Park in 1955, England won that afternoon.

The countryside - you can't beat it anywhere else in the world
English bread
Pork pies as well! (NZ ones are rubbish. I have to make my own down here which takes a while but tastes great)
Proper English Ale in a proper pub
Pubs in general
Old buildings made of bricks/stone etc
The river - especially for me summer evenings Hammersmith/Chiswick way (see pubs!)
Football dominating the papers and sports new on the TV
MOTD - despite the pi$$ poor treatment of West Ham by the Beeb I still miss it
English drivers funnily enough - most of them are idiots down here - no consideration for others at all
The huge range of food in a good English supermarket
Accents, both regional and the Queen's
Old streets
London parks
I hope its all cheering you up a bit Brian. Its making me feel worse!
