Didn't knew where to post my survey, there are so many forums here, and none of them related directly to traveling, except MAN&USA forum.
Hi everyone, I'm an Israeli student in the university of Haifa.
I desided to run some research about traveling motives of football fans (soccer fans) .
Studies about the phenomena had been done in the past, but I don't think that someone published the surveys on the soccer-fans forums.
By the way I'm the manager of Milan Club Israel, and a big fan of Netherlands and Italy.
The answers will help me to build some characteristic model about the nature of soccer fans in the world.
Sorry the quiz is a little long , but you only have to choose the number in each question. (agree/disagree)

1. I've already attended in the wold-cup/champions league/Euro games in the past.
Euros and world cups (several)

2. I like to visit football cause of the tournament prestige and the popularity of the event.
I don't know what on earth you mean by that.

3. I forget all my "home" troubles during the game, and feel free to enjoy the game.
How's this a relevant question?

4. I feel special connection to my favorite national team, and I would like to watch them in the tournament.
You shouldn't have favourite national teams. Support your own national team and leave it at that.

5. I'm a big fan of specific players and I would like to see them in action.
At a tournament I'm a fan of the team, not of a specific player.

6. I would also like to experience and learn the culture of the hosting country.
Nah. The idea of Dutch travelling fans at these tournaments generally is to temporarily build a mini-Holland abroad.

7. I want to escape everyday routine.
How is this relevant to a football survey?

8. I like to travel with friends or family, and meet other fans around the world.
See answer to question six.

9. The event isn't captured well by the media, and only real attending, make you feel the atmosphere of the event.
Agree.

10. I would like to take part of the celebrations surrounding the event.
See answer to question six.

11. I'm frightened of the atmosphere and the violence in the stadiums, and it's prevents me from visiting.
I've yet to experience a violent atmosphere at an international tournament.

12. Usually I don't have time travelling to football.
I make time.

13. The prices of the traveling packages to sport events are too high, and it's hard for me to make it.
Yes the prices are far too high but I'll pay regardless.

14. It's very difficult to get world cup/euro tickets, in normal prices. That's the main reason that prevents me from visiting big events.
Again yes it's very difficult but I go anyway.

15. Here you can add some personal opinion about your traveling motives or about this research.

Iīd recommend that you use any of several websites that offer free online surveys..so much user friendlier than this copy and paste stuff.
