what is up with david nugent?
I havent seen him in action at all with portsmouth (mind you i dont get many portsmouth games in toronto), he seems to be ineffective in the premiership league (according to the stats) but plays well against poorer opponents as in the Carling Cup. Since I know that statistics dont tell the whole story, who can enlighten me on his progress??:D

He has hardly played any Prem games, at least recently. It's good to see that Portsmouth seems to be a meritocracy, regardless of how much money you're making. As long as Benjani/Utaka/Kanu keep playing like they are, I say keep his arse nailed to the bench.

He has to put up exceptional performances if he wants to get chances in the Pompey line up. As MrEleganza said our current line up is doing exceptionally well(5th) and to replace it would be impractical and irrational to change it. The only choice Nugent has, if he wants to stay in Pompey that is, is to take his carling cup chances and make the most of it.
