I like to see this team run out:

But I hold no illusions that this team that will run out:

at which point, due to lack of width and creativity, we will succumb 1-2

Everton (h)

We return to Premiership action on Sunday with a non-televised 3pm kickoff against the Moyes boys, who advanced in the UEFA Cup thanks to a 3-2 away win against Ukrainian side FC Metalist Kharkiv on Thursday evening.

Tickets are still on sale for this game from the SJP ticket office - the visitors have sold all of their allocation (number undisclosed).

Depending on the weekend's results we could go back up to fifth with a victory, although a second successive defeat could see us tumble as low as 15th.

NUFC: to follow...Cacapa is set to return after a scan on his groin showed no damage. Emre, Enrique and Faye all completed 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek without incident.

Alan Smith is reported to be carrying an unspecified injury, which may limit his involvement in Sunday's game and also England's upcoming double-header.

Ameobi (groin) news still awaited of scan.
Babayaro (hamstring) no return date.
Barton (metatarsal) working on match fitness.
Carr (hamstring) back in training.
Duff (foot) nearing a return to training.
Owen (stomach) back in training.
Ramage (cruciate) out for rest of season.

EFC: to follow...striker Andy Johnson is still less than 100% with a groin problem and didn't feature in the midweek UEFA Cup fixture.

Meanwhile midfield pair Tim Cahill and Thomas Gravesen remain sidelined due to injury.

It's not expected that the Toffees will wear their special new vivid pink shirts - originally produced in a batch of just 50 to promote breast cancer awareness, but now given the go-ahead by the FA to be sold in the new year.

Referee: Martin Atkinson - first Toon game of the season for the whistler who gave Didier Drogba his marching orders last weekend. No TV me thinks.

We'll squeak past the Blue Scousers by a goal.

Well, at least maybe we could see Emre get a start with Smith carrying a knock. We really missed Cacapa last week, and I think that his presence in the defense will help a lot tomorrow.

Here's my guess and wish list.

Given

Beye-Rozy-Cacapa-Enrique

Milner-Geremi-Emre-N'Zog

Martins-Duke

I think we win it by a goal.

New look today, Smith and Oba up front, which allowed Zogs and Milner to join Butt and Geremi in the midfield.

Given in goal with Beye, Enrique, Faye and Cacapa in front of him.

Taylor, Rozenhal, Owen and Emre make the bench.

3 points takes us back to a possible 5th so let's win!

It appears as though we are bossing the match, which we should since they were in the Ukraine Thursday night. Martins should have put us ahead by now but once again his finishing is lacking.

I am happy to finally see a 4-4-2 instead of the 4-3-3. Exchange Geremi or Butt for Emre, Faye for Rozy, and Smith for Duke and I'd be a happy camper. By the way....Where is Duke?

Big Sam can't be seriously thinking of playing Owen today....could he?

There's about 8 feeds. I've got the TVAnts one working.

From the halftime highlights it looks like all oneway traffic for the Toon. Martins, Zoggy and Smith look particularly lively.

Butt with the goal. 1-0 toon, second half just started.

Dammit, Johnson just tied it up. 1-1

25 minutes left, come on Sam, put Emre on for Butt or Geremi and go for the win!

Faye looks to be be having a hard time with AJ's pace. Smudge suspended for the Spurs for yellow card accumulation.
