Sheva man of the match in my opinion, when he came on the game changed for Chelsea, he's starting to refind his form.
(coughs up tea) really!?
sweet:) just saw some highlights lamps & Malouda looked good as well.

Better overall performence as someone said Jose-light in style.
What a difference Lamp makes in making the team look cohesive.
Cech, phew thank God we have him, saved the game with a couple key stops
Bellitti really good, except for last foul, buy of the summer so far.
J Cole some good play but am I the only one worrying that he is slipping into some of his old bad habits without Jose looking over his shoulder?
we need a pacy clever winger
And we could do a whole lot worse than picking up Davis for the ANC and as a back up to Drogs role

Glad my boy Kalou got the goal, been really disappointed in him lately, but I'm very happy.
Now who was saying we should sell him again :)

Seeing as I haven't seen the highlights, is this statement made in jest? Or did he actually look good?

Well you may not see it in the highlights but he really took a commanding presence, maybe his roll from now on should be coming on as a sub, as he his pace seems to fail him in the later stages of the game.

I've only seen highlights, but boy what a peach of a goal by Kalou. It's easy to forget that he's so young when we're bashing him week in week out, but then he does something like that and we're reminded why he was so highly regarded before he came in. That really was a Drogbian finish. Showed the pace to run onto the ball, the touch to control it, the strength to retain it, and the skill to finish it. That goal alone should earn him another start straight away.
I wish I knew how he'd played otherwise, anybody care to give a bit of a summary?

was lampard playing well or did he appear less than 100% fit. No drogba huh. quite the juggling act there for grant. How do u decide on these formations. Who among the attackers should grant look to push forward?

Where the hell is everybody? Last season you couldn't even find your own posts in these topics now no one is here. Some fans you are.
CHELSEA 1-0 Kalou
Geeeeez! Lol. I woke up at 6:00 this morning to drive out to Pasadena to watch the game with some fellow blues fans at a pub. Great stuff, but the Liverpool Tottenham game was on in another section of the bar and goodness me...where did all of these Pasadena Spurs fans come from?
Anyways...uhhhh oh yea so thats where I was L.G.S.!!!! Drinking at a pub at 7 in the morning!!!
And by the way, if there are any Chelsea fans in the Inland Empire'ish area, hit me up. I'll give you the info on where the Pacific Coast Blues meet.

I thought Belletti was nice on the wing when Paolo came on at RB and he was moved up. I think he has more forward drive than Florent 'back pass' Malouda ever shows.
Lampard back. Kalou scoring (nice finish from the lad - and it is finishing that has let him down of late, NOT his ability and speed - unlike the slow Pizarro, who just doesn't have the ability).
3 points. Somewhat fortunate. Nothing amazing. But nice overall.

Our main problems have been in attack and the fact that we have no attackers with pace, dribbling, and finishing ability through the center.
Well apart from Drogba . . .
Pizarro's purchase baffles me
Absolutely. The lad is very ordinary and he's not going to get any better or faster.
Drogs showed he can do that with his goal against Valencia, but he doesn't get it right often enough.
Drogs doesn't get it right often enough? Sorry you've lost me. . .
Drogba is not our problem in attack. Under performing from Sheva, Pizarro, Malouda and sometimes Kalou may have something to do with it however. . .

Bellitti really good, except for last foul, buy of the summer so far.
considering our other buys this summer that isn't that difficult. only problem with Belletti is his age - at 31

true enough:( but he should give us at least a couple of quality years until Micah is a big enough galactaco for us to spend 3-5 x what we could have got him at before or until we get a real gaffer, with some power over transfers and/or a replacement for come here my precious Keynon and you're right Belletti looks like he could do a job at wing as well

Dear God:
A few requests if you're not going to be too busy ruining Liverpool FC's season:
1. Send a lightning bolt through the computer of anyone who gives Drogba a mediocre or (God forbid!) negative post. Unless it's a Liverpool fan since they're lying sacks of (EDIT: doo-doo) so anything they say is the opposite of reality.
2. Please wish Shevchenko the best of luck with his next club in '08, except when he plays against Chelsea... in which case You can restore his current form.
3. Make Kalou's finishing a carbon copy of Drogba's. Oh, and when you do, please give him British citizenship so we don't lose him along with Drogba everytime the ANC occurs.
4. Feel free to slap around anyone who mentions a 'dearth' in good British players nowadays, as they obviously don't follow Chelsea.
5. Ask my excellent, intelligent and great-minded fellow Chelsea fans to quit ragging on Lampard this season unless he makes it 6 games without a goal.
6. Thank you for giving Joe Cole to Chelsea. Though what is the deal with his high-pitched voice? Thank you also very much for Peter Cech, but did you really have to make him so damned awful at penalties?
7. Let me know why Sidwell should ever be wearing a Chelsea shirt on a football pitch. Two deliberate handballs in one match must be a sign of sheer and utter lunacy.
Once again, I appreciate all your efforts in wrecking Liverpool's season. Much obliged.
