Alot of our players our young and need to be given time if Ospina plays against brasil and they score like 3 on him are u all going to hate him for the rest of time? Give Rodagella a break he isnt ready yet but at 22, he has a long way to go and alot of time on his hands

I think a lot of people here see the talent we have.. see my posts in the Renteria, Falcao, Angel, Toja and Christian Zapata threads.. i am constantly posting news about them..

The thing is, that i don't think we can ignore our obvious mistakes, there has to be a balance, we can't be singing praises all the time.

Ironically you are just concentrating only on the criticisms that i post, and i do a lot more than that.

Criticizing our coach and some of our players and being realistic doesn't mean that we do not support our NT

Puede que la mayoría de las mujeres no entiendan sobre fútbol, pero lo pueden poner a uno a reflexionar. Le comenté en estos días a mi esposa con la ansiedad que provocan las eliminatorias, "amor, Colombia empieza jugando contra Brasil". Después de un silencio... "¿Contra Brasil?, ¿Y?", respondió. Se viene Brasil. ¿Y? Eso es lo que pasa. Casi siempre nos enfocamos en quiénes vienen, y no a quiénes tenemos. Incluso hay quienes piensan que no tenemos un equipo a la altura de los que alguna vez clasificaron a los mundiales. ¿Cómo pueden hacer una comparación de esas? Que irresponsabilidad. La cosa es más sencilla de lo que parece. Que venga Kaká, Robinho, Alves o el que quieran. Acá los atendemos a todos por igual. En nuestra tierrita colombiana les podemos dar sopa, seco y postre. Que vengan los brasileros. Nosotros tenemos la amarilla puesta. Tenemos jugadores que están a punto de lograr el sueño profesional más grande de sus vidas. Son ganadores. Good comparison. I agree and hadn't seen the comparison before. However, I do agree that you could be a tad bit more supportive, regardless you are entitled to your opinion on an open forum. And honestly, you make us think about ways to support our arguments, which initially livens the conversations.

Yes, i do get carried away sometimes, specially right after seeing the recent games we've played..

On a positive note, at least Pinto didn't miss a lot of players this time.. i think pretty much everyone agrees on who the best players are in most positions, except in the creative midfield.
Let's just hope he starts the right guys against Brasil.

I love the arguments that you put ahead and when I mention ''we'' or ''you'' i mean it in a descriptive sense. We all support our nation, but I want negativity to 'eff off' out of the window. I love to hear peoples opinions but in near enough every post someone mentions how badly we did in the Copa. Its true, but I for one, was glad that happened coz a radical change needed to happen to our football after poor team structures and results that aint seen us go to a second WC. In Colombians minds we were in the WC2002 and WC2006 reaching the semis and beating the best, this is the radical view taken by many from the media to fan clubs. Were a Quarter Final team at best, lets not kid ourselves. When defeat, poor players and a normal era of players age and experience gap widening during 99-05, this couldnt have happened anymore than in did during this period. This is the first time we have seen talented ferreira's, aldo leao's, castrillon, falcao's and wason's all grow and come together. Knowing to get to this world cup we have to do it as a team and everytime we hit the ground to get up 10x stronger.

bingo.... este man tiene toda la razon, creo que la gente esta malinterpretando las cosas porque yo por ejemplo diga que veo a la seleccion malisima no quiere decir que creo que van a perder contra brasil o no van a clasificar al mundial una vaina es ser fanatistas con el equipo y otra es creer que todo esta bien donde claramente no lo esta, no se pueden llegar a los dos extremos de ultrafanatismo o ultrapesimismo, miren y les doy un ejemplo sencillo: rodallega, hay gente que dice ese man es malisimooooo que no lo vuelvan a convocar mas nunca! y otra gente dice nahhh el ya se mejoro del mal momento si vieron como corrio? buena decicison por pinto por convocarlo para el partido contra brasil, creo que en realidad deverian pensar mmm aunque rodallega le fue malisimo en la copa america y no ha demostrado nada todavia esta joven si demuestra algo interesante en el futuro seria bueno que lo convocaran pero si sigue con ese nivel que no lo llamen, asi de simple. sinceramente la seleccion la veo mal pero eso no quiere decir que no crea que no puede clasificar y que no le pueda ganar a brasil y que no me vaya a poner feliz de que ganen pero todo eso no me va a evitar de criticar al dt a los jugadores y en especial a los dirigentes del futbol colombiano...

Muchachos, yo creo que estar en estos foros para expresar nuestra opinion sobre nuestra seleccion dice mucho de nuestra pasion por el futbol y por nuestro seleccionado. Cada uno puede tener su propia opinion y eso es mas que respetable. Tambien pienso que cada uno ofrece su propio punto de vista para mirar como se podrian mejorar las cosas. Aqui nadie habla para que las cosas se vuelvan a mal ni nada de eso sino para que se buscan alternativas y soluciones y eso me parece muy saludable. Indudablemente tenemos que apoyar a nuestra seleccion y tenemos que mandarles todas nuestras buenas energias para buscar el exito que en este caso es la clasificacion al mundial. La seleccion es un simbolo de orgullo colombiano y algo que nos une a todos en momentos dificiles y nos brinda positivismo para poder afrontar el dia a dia de nuestras vidas.

Ojala la confianza puesta en Pint0 por los directivos colombianas fructifique a largo plazo resulte en dias de victorias. Espero mucho que la seleccion mejore despues de lo que paso en la Copa America cuando todos estabamos tan ilusionados con un nuevo proceso. Como dijo alguien, menos mal paso en la Copa America y permitio que (ojala) Pinto reflexionara. Ahora, si las cosas no cambian con un mejoramiento progresivo y con resultados, pues la historia sera otra.

Para terminar hay que enfatizar que a pesar que todos queremos que nuestra seleccion consiga triunfos, hay que analizar las cosas objetivamente y con cabeza fria. No podemos crecernos mucho si consiguimos algun triunfo y tampoco echarnos en una depresion por alguna derrota. El gran problema del jugador colombiano es la parte mental porque existen condiciones fisicas que permiten ver mucho potencial. Entonces, si perdemos o ganamos, siempre hay que tratar de dar un analisis objetivo y mesurado y no dejarnos llevar por opiniones basadas en emocion. Creo que en momentos de derrota, los colombianos metemos mucha presion a nuestros jugadores y ellos pierden la confianza y no deberia ser asi. Ojala dentro de 2 a'nos exactamente estemos pensando en que estamos con un pie en el mundial.....es bueno so'nar no?

I go watch the games no matter what and if i was in Colombia i would go to the stadium also. There is no excuse for missing a game no matter how bad they play if you love your team you will support and watch them play. I will however take this chance to criticize Pinto for being an arrogant bastard and not learning a lesson in respecting your rival.

Lo mas interesante de todo, es que si a Colombia no le va bien en los dos partidos que vienen, yo no le echaria la culpa a los jugadores..(a menos que comentan errores terribles) porque creo que casi todos los convocados son lo mejor que tenemos en este momento.

La actuaciones de los equipos de futbol son algo sicologico.
Como explicarse entonces lo de Millonarios que fue de ser goleado por el Quindio y Pasto hasta llegar a ser invicto y llegar a los cuartos de Final de la Suramericana, con la misma nomina de jugadores????

Creo que si el equipo no funciona en los dos partidos que vienen, y si al menos no le ganamos a Bolivia, Pinto se tiene que ir, porque ya no hay excusas de que los jugadores no estan en un buen momento, estan fuera de forma, etc..

Well said. Pinto needs to go if we fail miserably in these first 4. But think about what it could do for the team as this is exactly the same thing that happened last qualifiers. 4 poor games, Maturana had to go. Rueda nearly triumphed but it was too late. We cannot afford that this time.
