I would include Moreno for Vaca. I'm not too impressed with Hoyos, and Reyes and would consider Cabrera and Andaveris to switch out if necessary...

Interesting.... WEll moreno got a slight ankle injury tonight. He should be ok for the game against uruguay, HOPEFULLY.

Also what is up with the autoresizing of pics on BS? The pic above is supposed to be ALOT bigger.

all I know is the GolTv will be showing all the Uruguay games hehe which means Ill be watching that junks at home...... no more paying 20 bucks to get into a restaurant.

the only player i have a problem with is Reyes.....and maybe maybe Vaca. Other then that we have a solid squad. Put Moreno instead of Vaca and Lima or Mojica instead of Reyes IMPO

Any predictions?

I perfer lima in rather than Mojica, he's garbage. And Vaca... i dunno hes like my 11 ys old cousin in size, but i'd give him one more chance.... Just cause his old coach was my coach. lol

Yeah but the fans in Bolivia don't see Moreno on a regular basis. I think our hope is a 4 - 5 - 1 with Moreno as the defensive forward, and the Brazilian-based forwards on top. Anyone help with the middle. How do we stop the Uruguayans?

We couldnt score with two forwards and you think having one up front the whole time is better? I dont see that scheme working well, really the best is the 4-4-2 with martins and arce being up front the whole time. In this first game, Uruguay, as mentioned early, will be without their captain and i've read a couple other players. We have to try to win this and not simply go for the win. If we don't establish ourselves early, we'll be in trouble. I agree that Mojica should not start, he has shown absolutely nothing. Hoyos is not bad, but ti's true that he takes too many chances. I like Campos up there too, he's shown he has teh skills to hold on to the ball and pass and at the same time attack. Why insist with Vaca, he's not gonna put on wieght or muscle in two weeks, and HE CAN'T MARK ANYONE BECAUSE HE GETS PUSHED AROUND. I've seen he's got skill, but what good is it when he gets a shoulder and loses touch? We've all gone ad nausium about that.

Is cabrera a forward or an attacking midfielder? Havent seen Cucuta's scheme but looks like he's a straight forward, am i wrong on that?

I'd be willing to give that a shot, arce and martins up front, with moreno coming on if one is doing REALLLY bad. He just doesnt have the legs for all 90 anymore, and would perfer that now to make sure he can stay with the team a couple more years.

I'd want Gatty in for Vaca, yes hes slower, but his field vision is superior and his weight on the ball and confidence is higher. Or moreno in that position too.

William Ramallo recently commented on he expects our starting 11 to play, what do you think?

I like it. He wants us to play similar to the 94' WC team where when attacking, we all would attack. And when it came down to getting back possesion everyone came back, to get the ball.

Its similar to the way tahuichi taught how to play too.

I remeber with Rimba even in Defense, he'd run up the wings and be really dangerous on attack.

Sorry to say this but, MOJICA is my cousin and he will be starting! dont think im sucking up, I totally agree with all of you that he should not start! as well as Vaca, but it comes down to this......
Vaca and Mojica are very good friends, we all went to high school together. Now keep that in mind with Mojicas dad (my uncle) and Erwin being best friends as well.... Ive printed this thread out and sent it anonimously to my uncle to read over lol, hopefully it get to Erwin but I doubt it. Lets see what the starting 11 will be.

Here's another vote to put nacho in the middle, here are the comments on people who were able to see the Aris game vs Zaragoza

"He was almost perfect, vivabolivar. Excellent marking, wonderful positioning, anticipation when needed, a true modern DM. If he would score that goal he would be our nr 1 heroe right now. Never mind. He is still in our heart for giving his very best!"

"Nacho was INCREDIBLE yesterday, he ran a lot of kilometers, marking almost perfectly!
His chance of scoring was UNBELIEVABLE, as he jumped in front of the keeper and made the header. The keeper was out of range, the goalposts were unprotected! We all yelled GOAL, but afterwards we could not believe the chance missed!
However, he was among the best players yesterday, a real LORD in the half of the field. Real class!"

From other accounts, he had a really good chance at scoring, but didnt come to fruition. THe best part about this is that he didnt get injured

I prefer a 4-4-2 formation with ....

Marcelo Martins Juan Carlos Arce

Jhasmani Campos Ronald Garcia Jaime Moreno Limberg Gutierrez

Limbert Mendez JM Pena Ronald Raldes Carlos Tordoya(extremely fast)

Sergio Galarza
__________________________________
SUBS: Joselito Vaca for Moreno
Alvarez or Hoyos for Tordoya
Gatty Ribero or Cabrera for Limberg Gutierrez

Note:
-Jaime Moreno doesn't play all his DC games as a forward, he is laid back and sometimes plays as an attacking mid midfielder.
-Let Limberg play as a starter till he gets tired so we could start fresh with a sub(Joselito or Cabrera)
-Cabrera was a forward and a RIGHT WING MINDFIELDER in Aurora, and he deserves to be in as a sub or starting lineup cuz he's on fire with goals in Cucuta.
-Limbert Mendez and Tordoya and two young and extremely extremely fast defenders with a Tahuichi style of playing. And speed is something we really need in the back.

-By the way, why didn't they call Jose Luis Ortiz ( ex Bayern Munich player) he is 21, attacking middle, and out of Tahuchi.

I'm feeling that right there!

Only thing that bothers me, is Galarza. He was terrible for bolivia, and is too small. Its sad that him and Suarez are the only 2 we got. I rather have el gato fernandez back there!

Mauly, I'm glad to see you here..! Its cool to be just a few degrees of separation from our team...

AleBoliviano, dude, I like that scheme - maybe try out Lampe? (seems impractical at this late stage, but worth it?) And maybe try out Cabrera for Limberg (or at least Cabrera for somebody, even as a substitute)...Can't say much about Tordoya or Mendez on defense...I think we have a reasonable team - if they're playing together, with garra, lots of 'pressing' and on a good night, they might just tie or, finally, win.

By the way Peña and Limberg Mendez are out. I would put the team like this.

Lampe (Galarza)

Hoyos Solis(Tordoya) Raldez Alvarez

Campos Cardozo(Gutierrez) Garcia Ribeiro

Arce Martins

I don't know why noone mentinos Jaime Cardozo, he's pretty fast has tecnique, and I think better than Vaca or more tecnique than Gutierrez

Since JM Pena and Mendez are out in injury and Limberg is not playing against Uruguay because of his red card in his last game with the national team.... i guess it could be a 4-4-2 formation with ....

Marcelo Martins//// Juan Carlos Arce

Jhasmani Campos///Ronald Garcia///Jaime Moreno///Cabrera(Joselito Vaca)

Alvarez(H. Soliz)//Gatty R.//Ronald Raldes//Carlos Tordoya(really fast)

Calros Lampe(mide 1,93 metros///he is 6-4 damn he's tall)
________________________________
SUBS: Joselito Vaca for Moreno
Herman Soliz or Hoyos for Tordoya or Alvarez
Jaime Cardozo for Cabrera

I thought about it and I think your right Pzygote, I checked out his games and he is definetly not a bad candidate for goalie. He is young(20 years old), fast, a starter for his club, and is 6-4! I didn't know Bolivians could be so tall, lol, jk. Well I would give him a shot, besides I think we only need to worry about is our defense.

I changed my mind, I would put Gatty Ribiero instead of Cabrera and put Cabrera to sub in for Gatty. then instead of gatty in the defense, I would put Herman Soliz.

orrr just leave it how it is. :)

-I still don't get why they didn't call Jose-Luis Ortiz(ex Bayern Munich and 21 years old)
he is an attacking midfielder and could've gone in instead of gatty in the right mid and leave gatty in defense, then we wouldn't have this problem.

Dream team ( )= possible subs

Marcelo(Gustavo Pinedo) ////Arce(Cabrera)

J. Campos(Sabja)/Garcia(Cardozo)/J. Moreno(J. Vaca)/J-Luis Ortiz(Limberg)

Carlos Tordoya(Alvarez)//JM Pena//R. Raldes//Gatty Ribiero(Hoyos)

Lampe(Galarza)

in this lineup there are only two people over the age of 30
Jaime and Pena
