Well we are going from one extreme to another. Last weeks match I was all alone at the pub 7:45 am, just me and the bartender. Now 10 pm on a Sunday night, should be just as deserted. If you are in the DC area Kitty O'sheas in Arlington is the place to be!

As for the game, its still pretty huge for us. We sit in third still, with a tiny margin between us and the rest of the top five. Brough sits in 14th place with just 8 points, honeslty I haven't even seen them play this year but it seems like a game City can win given our run of play recently. Who is going to be the keeper though?

Also I should mention that if we can beat Middlesbrough, the following match will be against Birmingham, who we should be able to beat. And the match after that is Chelsea. I am drooling at the prospect!

I remember during the 2004/2005 season, Robbie Fowler missed a penalty kick at home vs Boro and caughed up City's birth to UEFA cup. That really broke my heart and it took me a while to get over. I think we had a pretty bad history vs Boro. This is a home game, the pressure is on us to win. City can't take anything for granted. Must win and win it big. Crush Boro, make them suffer.

The middle/lower teams in the league, have in the past, been our bogey teams - we never seemed to 'step-up our game' to beat them (as we did when meeting say the 'top 4'). Instead, we struggled to get a draw. So that was in the past, we have our new fantastic team and our home reputation to uphold. We need to make the opposition 'nervous' at the prospect of visiting CoMS. :D ie our forwards running rings around them and a brick wall for a defence, our thirteenth player, the fans, singing their hearts out all the way through the match.

Come on you Blues

I agree, a pair of victories could seperate us far enough away from Chelsea that they would be considered the underdogs. Take one game at a time and play the same style of football that has won us matches in the past and we will be sitting strong. Weekend mornings have new meaning for this Citeh fan!!!

Confidence is High!! We got a gift of a schedule to lead into one of the biggest games we're gonna see (Chelsea). I find myself unprecedently rooting against Chelsea recently for the sole reason that they are the most wounded of the Big Four, and if we are even going to think about coming up to the big time this season; this is the match to put us there. But one week at a time right. Because at the end of the day.... IT IS CITY... and the unexpected is to be expected.

With wins against only Fulham 2-1 and Birmingham 2-0 and no matches against the Big 4 + Citeh, Borough has had a rough start to the season. This should be Man City's for the taking but no doubt the opponents are getting desperate to get off the bottom of the league. See URL below for a list of teams past matches.

Should be a game for goals.

Hopefully.

Corluka should be in the starting line-up. Also on good authority, there will be another great show of Lee's (the groundskeeper) talents with the lawn mower for this match. The tartan design for the Newcastle game was phenomenal, so can't wait to see this. Setanta (Canada) are showing the match at 8:30pm Sunday (I'll have to avoid all the sports updates!). Arsenal, then Chelsea are on live.

"Should be a game for goals."
All for the Blues. :D

Come on City

ELANO!!!! the best player not on the big 4, may be the best player in the league. I can't wait till the end of the month when we go to stamford bridge.. perhaps our single best chance of solidifying top 4 status. we are not really here.

I think you're gettin a little carried away, but I do believe he should be on the Best XI of the month. He would def. make an all-star starting XI of the non- big 4, but we should give him some more time to declare 'best', but he is and has been our team MVP.

Elano has been great the last two games, fantastic, within 3 points of the top spot!

City Blue, if I didn't have to work this morning I would have joined you at Kitty's. All in all though this is a fantastic result. The more we play, the more it looks like i'm going to owe you a bar tab at the end of the season.

It's not just that Elano scored 3 goals, its because he scored 3 BEAUTIFUL goals that gives us a reason to think Elano will emerge one of the best in the Premiership.

(I just wanna know because I almost wet my pants, was it not the most beautiful lay off to Elano for the 2nd point?)

I'm sick of these Riquelme posts... I would prefer Joe Cole or a right sided MF to ANOTHER AM. We have Elano, (and 2 solid backups in Geovanni and Ireland). A DM to replace Hamman when he wears out would be nice, that and a Right Sided MF or Striker.

Another fantastic, entertaining home match and a fabulous win. Elano is outstanding and Petrov is amazing with his missile type runs and getting passes/balls that look impossible. It was a great team effort, everyone playing their part and for each other, no ego's, just football. :D

We finally have a team that can play great, mouth-watering football together! In recent years we have legends and amazing players: Kinkladze, Berkovic. But now yes Elano is simply awesome, but so are the rest of the players. Petrov, Richards, Elano, Dunne, Corluka...we are in for a treat. All my mates are in amaze at Elano and the performances of the team, and I'm loving every minute.
