Just a test

Editors note. This is a fictitious team and everything IN this thread has nothing to do with reality...except the Landon Donovan rumors. Those are true...I swear on the blood of a goat.

Actually, Königsberg's main clubs were VfB Königsberg and Prussia Samland Königsberg. Old-Skool!:

2. SpVgg. Memel 12 27:26 15:9
3. Prussia Samland Königsberg 12 43:27 14:10
4. SV Insterburg 11 19:29 10:12

Show of hands. How many people KNEW Alex would be the first one in here to post?

*raises hand.

But, did he catch the 1724 reference?

1724: Jonas Alströmer introduces the potato to Sweden!

(I admit, I looked that up on Wikipedia while looking for some cool random thing that happened in 1724. Kant's birthday would be another possibility, but this would surely make no sense...)

Kant's birth year would be correct.

Anyway, I think this area would be fine for the rest of the team threads.

I see there is no [r] in the thread title... can we still discuss VfB Königsberg's latest results? I mean, they happened 60+ years ago, so this should have been time enough for everyone to watch his tapes...

Hey, i cheared so much to watch the tapes and you destroyed my fun :( ... :D

So i had to choose a new team from the city: Baltika Kaliningrad (2nd Russian division) (http://www.eufo.de/football/rus/2007/baltgrad.htm) :)

I hear Donovan is thinking about making a come back.

I do like their blue uniforms, but I think the tricorns are going to have to go. Just no place for that on the pitch.

I always thought there was something fishy about Königsberg's 1:12 home loss against Viktoria Berlin in the 1909 championship play-offs. Can't proof it, though. But I think the ref was bought by the Berlin team. Or the Kaiser. Or both.

I reckon those Social Democrats and their hippie ways brought about this

I wouldn't have expected you to be a member of the reactionary bourgoisie.
