He was born and raised peruano. His dad is perucho. And more importantly he is a product of Alianza's canteras, I mean if that is not enough to make you want to play for la blanquiroja I dont know what else is. ;)

y su mama es Alemania? o Scottish ? con citizenship de Chile?! el Wikipedia deveria decir que su papa es Peruano y salio del Alianza para la gente sepa y no se confundan.

yeap they were booing Sheva in every missed pass by him.
Pizarro looks slow though, and a little stiff. He was never a dribbler but now looks like a tronco.

So does that mean Pizarro > Sheva?:p

At Chelsea it seems like yes. Everywhere else, hell no.

Pizarro played pretty decent considering how crap the rest of the team is. He played pretty far back, almost as a midfielder alongside Joe Cole.

His clumsiness isn't as apparent in England where you have to pass the ball right away.

MINISTRY OF ALL THE TALENTS
FIFA LATEST: ex-Argentina coach Carlos Bilardo says Fifa's vice-president and head of finance Julio Grondona - also head of the Argentine FA - has 'totally shafted Argentine football'. 'I feel so sad at the state of our clubs: they're in a financial mess - they don't even have money to buy grass. If he isn't removed soon, Argentine football will collapse.' But Grondona - a controversial figure since he was forced to apologise for telling a live TV audience in 2003: 'I do not believe a Jew can ever be a referee in our top division because it's hard work and, you know, Jews don't like hard work' - isn't friendless. 'He's a monumental man!', said Sepp Blatter in 2002 after Grondona was cleared of fraud allegations. 'Together Julio and I will defend the game and transparency in Fifa. We are friends for ever!'
DOUBLE CHEESE
Uefa say their new 30-second TV information film aimed at tackling obesity is 'a powerful campaigning message': 'Millions of Europeans are overweight. We're sending a powerful message that a sedentary lifestyle is a serious risk to health.' Also running alongside the new campaign: commercials by Uefa's multi-million-pound official corporate partners, Heineken and Sony PlayStation. (Other fat news: French burger chain Quick say sales of the new officially endorsed 'Nicolas Anelka Burger' are 'positive'. The double cheeseburger features Anelka's name embossed on the bun.)
DIDA DEJA VU
6 : Number of months before Dida's on-pitch maiming at Celtic that Carlo Ancelotti pledged this: 'ANCELOTTI SLAMS CHEAT SLUR: AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti has slammed talk from Champions League rivals Celtic that his side are dishonest. "It's always the case when a foreign side plays an Italian team and these stories about cheating come up. Let us be clear: Milan are known worldwide for our sense of honesty, and for our true spirit of fair play.'"
ALL IN THE TIMING
22 September , Alex Ferguson: 'Avram Grant used to come to study training here, when he was in charge of Israel. He was very inquisitive, asking how we did this and why we did that. . .' 30 September, unnamed Chelsea player, News of the World : 'Since Grant took over, training has been amateurish. This week we were asked to just dribble round a cone. We hadn't been asked to do that since we were 14.' :D
OFF-FIELD ACTIVITIES
What's to look forward to inside Cristiano Ronaldo's new book Moments ? 'Cristiano wholeheartedly welcomes the reader into his life,' say publishers, 'sharing thoughts on the most striking and intense experiences. The book shows glimpses of him enjoying off-field activities in both his professional life and for pleasure.' Up to a point. . . News of the World, September : 'I TURNED RONALDO ON WITH MY TESCO KNICKERS - EXCLUSIVE! Two of the five hookers who romped with Cristiano Ronaldo and his Man Utd pals said the experience "made us feel cheap. . ."'
GAME THAT ATE ITSELF
How close is football to running out of new revenue streams? The new Liverpool 'e-season ticket' at Anfield gives fans the chance to 'watch the stadium fill, and the teams warm up', live on your computer.
NO REMORSE Peruvian TV comic Claudio Alvarez says he feels 'no remorse' for creating a character mocking 'rich kid' Claudio Pizarro which has reduced the player to 'despair'. 'He's always going on about how much money he has, his racehorses, his metrosexual image. He does everything but score goals.' The character has boosted Alvarez's El Especial del Humour show's ratings 'hugely'. 'Claudio doesn't like it, but that's his problem. Let's get real - his lifestyle is pretty alien to most Peruvians.'
SUCH RAGE
Norwegian top-flight coach Per Joar Hansen says he went on strike after his Aalesund players lost 3-2 to Tromso. 'Honestly, I've never felt such rage. I couldn't sleep. I went into the club the next day but just couldn't bear to even look at the bastards. I walked up to them and said I couldn't be near them. Then I went home.'
FUNNY GUYS Stuttgart say an unnamed player who shaved his pubic hair in the shape of the club badge then sent 'sordid' photos to the press 'deserves anonymity'. The player paid for the design to celebrate winning last year's title, but officials say they won't reveal his name. 'It's no big deal, no big scandal,' says coach Marcus Babbel. 'It just proves we're a funny bunch of guys.'

wha? He's actually a damn good tactician. He made a great pair with Rijkaard in Barca when they won the double. Many people say that if he would've stayed the next season (last year), Barca would've secured the Spanish title again.

looks like a done deal. Ajax released him, now they have to agree and Ten Cate will be el judio's assistant :(
