I sure is nice to see a few Americans doing a great job in the premier league. Fulham caught my eye a few years ago with McBride making headlines and I have been a fan ever since. I hope Dempsey can keep up the great football he is playing! He could be the next McBride for Fulham and the USMNT if he can stay humble.

Americans are starting to make a nice showing in the premier league. In a couple of weeks I will be looking forward to the two "American" teams playing against each other. (Reading and Fulham):)

Yea,Mcbride will be back at Fulham in Dec so that will def be team America lol. It also seems that a few more of our boys may be going over(Altidore,E.Johnson,Guzan)this will only increase the quality of our national team.

I know it is a long way out but what do you think will happen with the front line when McBride gets back to full strenght?

Thats a good question, maybe they will slide Dempsey into a attacking midfielder role. Maybe McBride will sub in for awhile while he gets his fitness back. I guess it all depends on how Dempsey is playing when McBride comes back.

As soon as McBride is ready, Sanchez (if he's still around by the turn of the year) will play him ... at least that's the impression I was left with after reading his comments in the link posted below.

With McBride back in at striker, hopefully Dempsey will get moved permenantly back to right half where he can provide the midfield with some much needed strength.
Hopefully McBride's return will also inspire Healy, as Lawrie suggests ... Fulham need to start putting some balls into the back of the net!

Do you think it was a bad move on Sanchezs part to not have a back-up for McBride? How do you think Dempsey and Bullard will play together in the midfield? I see nothing but good things coming as soon as Bullard and McBride are fit if it's not to late by then.

To be fair, dollor for dollar, I'm not sure that there is an apt replacement for what McBride brings to Fulham, that Fulham could have afforded ...
My assumption would be that, goal-wise, he was probably expecting more contributions from Kamara & Healy and Davies ... but even with that said, there's a bigger problem and it's that there's no creativity in the midfield. Fulham have only tallied 6 assists and 13 goals in 13 games. That's only an average of one goal a game and slightly less then an assist every other ...
I hope that some people coming back from injuries and the January transfer window will help sort out the midfield and thusly the attacking options.

I think when McBride is fit, him and Healy will be great to play off each other. I would also like to see Dempsey in one of the midfield wings. He seems pretty tough and has no problem attacking. I would like to see how he does on defense in the Premier League though.
