I know a few people on this board have studied/are studying abroad in London and I was wondering which universities you have gone to and your opinions of them. My list so far is: Queen Mary, City University of London, and maybe Royal Holloway (it's outside of London though). Cheers.

I'm at Royal Holloway right now. It's pretty good from the 10 days or so I've been here. In Egham, but on the train you're into London between either 25 minutes to an hour. Not bad at all.

Crap, I needed to do it before he did. Ziegler, I know you're a newbie and/or a youngin, but if there is one thing you need to learn about this board, it is this: Rule Number One: Do not, I repeat do not, under any circumstances, scorn Rick. ;)
As for the issue, I believe that you need to bypass London, its expense, its CCTV cameras on every street corner, and the "community wardens" whose only presence seems to be harassment of unsuspecting people, and go to warmer climes, like Spain, where I was. Sorry, Rick, SKIZZ, and other Londoners. I love London, and I wouldn't love Arsenal if I didn't love London, which is an amazing city, but there are certain things that get on my nerves and I have to tell it like it is. :)

Yeah, you're right. I mean I thank the good lord that we here in the States only have to deal with illegal wiretaps. Buy hey, I don't have anything to hide so why should I care if my phones are tapped?

Apparently crime has actually increased since they put up the K-mart lights in the city.....idiots.

I don't understand why they feel they have to bring attention to where the cameras are.

In Baltimore, it's the first thing you (the city) would do if you well knew nothing was going to be done if an act was captured on camera. It's like the city is saying, "hey look, K-mart is watching you so don't do anything you don't want to be seen by the blue lights". The city in essence is counting on less crime being committed just by putting up these cameras and no subsequent action as in prosecuting those caught on camera. But since the criminal element here already knows that the police won't do squat if they're captured on K-mart cameras, the games continue without interruption.
