Does anyone know if the ManU/Barca game in Philly will be on television, since it has long been sold out? Recent tv Comcast commercials say that Comast covers, among other teams, Manchester United soccer. Does this mean that they will be televising the game in Philly? I haven't seen anything else on ManU on Comcast.

I thought Fox Sports World was going to show all four matches.

I believe that the Champions World Tour will be covered by FSW. However, a vendor comped me on several tix in their box at LFF, so I will be there in person. He had never heard of Man U. and thought it was no big deal, so he gave away all of his tickets to customers.

like most epl matches on fox sports world, look
to see the man utd matches on fox sports net
affiliates either to carry the matches live or
tape delayed
the comcast commercial means that csn will
show the man utd-barca match at the linc
but don't know if it will be live or tape-delayed

oliver can answer that ?

That's cool. I'm going to the game in NY and Philly.

Can't wait to see the other Champions World games though.

Will FSW only show games that involve Man Utd? Or will they show games like Barca-Milan too?

FOX Sports Net is taking the ChampionsWorld Series on tape-delay to fill time, usually the next afternoon if there is no conflict with baseball.

How does that translate to the two Comcast nets?

Precisely my question. My original question had to do with Comcast in Philly, since their commercial states that they cover Manchester United. I took this to mean that they will possibly be covering the ManU/Barca game in August, as they have not televised anything else connected to ManU. Thoughts?

Scrolling through my TIVO today, I found two Manchester United games to be played on Comacast Sports DC. If I remeber correctly, the first game is the game in Seatle, and the second game is versus a Latin American side, that I think was to be played in Philly. If it is on Comcast Sports DC, It should be on all the local sports cable channels.
Not sure if the games are live, but they were going to be replayed sevral times.

ALL of the FOX Sports Net regional affiliates, including Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia and Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic (Baltimore/Washington DC), will have the Man U tour on 2-day or 3-day tape-delay.

The FOX Sports Net regional affiliates are now owned by just 3 corporations: NewsCorp/FOX (Northwest, West/West 2, Arizona, Rocky Mountain, Southwest, Midwest, North, South, Pittsburgh), Cablevision (Bay Area, Chicago, Ohio, Florida, New York/MSG, New England), and Comcast (Philadelphia, Mid-Atlantic).

====

Note that Empire Sports Network (Buffalo) is no longer a FOX Sports Net affiliate. Empire is now an independent regional sports network, and its days may be numbered.
