Chelsea and England captain John Terry is undergoing surgery today on a depressed fracture of the cheekbone and is considered to be a major doubt for England's forthcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers.
The injury occurred when he took a blow to the face in a challenge with Fulham striker Clint Dempsey early in on the local derby. He continued playing but was withdrawn at half-time whn the extnt of the injury became apparent....

I watched the game live yesterday morning and I would say that it was an aggressive play by Dempsey and not thuggery.

alot of people are saying couldnt have happened to a better person because JT is a punk and tries scare everyone on the pitch. which as a defender is something you would want to do but not like he does.

Did Dempsey get a red card for that? Looked like a flying elbow, which is supposed to garner red cards in MLS. Didn't look intentional, but you never know.
