Personally, I think he will be a key to City's line up in the future. He plays phenomenal for his age and he is praised by several other footballers as being someone who will flourish.

He reminds me alot of Micah Richards, and Richards has been a tremendous key player thus far.
I only hope that Eriksson holds onto him and doesn't send him off to one of the "biggies" because he is showing great promise and players like him are needed for the future of the club. (Which I am pretty sure he won't...Eriksson seems to know what hes doing with this club and what it needs.)

I really like Michael and the way he has been playing this year. Sometimes I forget how old her actually is. If we can hang on to him we have a great player for years to come.

All I have to say is he played brilliant yesterday. Specially the lay off to Elano when he scored that beauty. I'm concerned though, because Eriksson said he will be getting more players next transfer window. I hope it's not midfielders because Johnson is getting tons of exposure right now and I don't want a world class veteran midfielder coming in. Johnson needs to be into his starting position if he is going to really "flourish".

If we get a 'vet' in the midfield, it would be most likely to replace Hamman (who has been playing out of his mind) or on the right side. (Bresciano)
I would argue that a striker would be our top priority along with a right-sided MF since I don't think Stevie Ireland/Geovanni can muster that spot yet. (We have 1 amazing, and 2 good CAM's... we won't be buying another one)

Johnson is class and it was proved again yesterday. Hes still young and a bit raw cos in some games he comes in-and-out of them, but hes been vital to many of our attacks this season. Hopefully he wont need an operation on his standing injury but he can play through it and im hoping it will heal itself. Johnson is the best place to be to develop his skills and with the likes of Elano and Petrov about he will become an even better player. He can do everything: pass the ball, shoot well, break up play. What more can you ask.

Sven says he will receive a "special injection" and hopes he will being training on Monday, but he is out for the U-21 game. Oh well, rather have him fit for the club matches than England U-21.

Michael Johnson will be out for up to four weeks according to mcfc.co.uk. Micah will be back this week-end - we'll need him. :)

Now I think Johnson is a fantastic player in the making, but I wanted some City fans view on him so far. Could he become as good as Gerrard? Also what is his pace like? I can't tell whether he is particularly quick like Stevie is, I've seen flashes of it though.

Just a matter of time before he plays for the senior national team...as long as he can stay healthy, of course.
