Hello Lyon fans. Rangers are going to be taking you on soon. PLG seems to think that you will have your way with us? What do you think?
People here agree with Rangers winning the head to head games:

Argue them if you date mates.

Lyon is a team in rebuilding with many young, unexperienced players, and a new coach who's not used to big teams. So there's a time of adaptation. But there's much talent and excellent players.
From France, our first thinking is "wow, their attacking line is Darcheville-Cousin, it'll be an easy win". Of course it will not be easy but I'm confident Lyon is underestimated and we can win. Not as easily as it would have been if the match had took place one year ago, it will be a very hard game.
Glasgow Rangers is a legendary club but the Scottish League is not really followed in France... We just know that PLG was a fiasco for you. Great disappointment.

haven't read anything in the french press from le guen about the upcoming match; he has his hands more than full at PSG, i doubt he'd open his mouth on the subject.
as for as his experience at rangers, he simply tried to bring in methods and habits that are prevalent throughout topflight european football, notably in terms of team organization and training regime. he saw the financial clout of RFC, felt that they could become big players not only in their fishbowl but in europe, and wanted to be part of it. i don't think either side was ready for the other, but the practices PLG tried to instill will have to get through someday if success for gers is to mean more than trouncing st. mirren and falkirk.
two scotland-france matches have shown anything can happen in 90 minutes between 4 white lines, but lyon isn't in as bad shape as some scots observers seem to think judging from this article... http://sport.scotsman.com/football.cfm?id=1561702007
what little in it that's not mistranslated or simply invented... is 2 weeks out of date .

i'd imagine lyon will win tomorrow night and if they get the lead early enough then it'll be fairly comfortable.
i know you struggled at the start of the season after the injury to cris on top of coupet already being out but lyon have steadied the boat and climbed back to the top of the league.
rangers had a very easy run at the beginning of the season and false hopes may have been raised to an extent. their last two away matches in the SPL have secured only 1 point and with the greatest respect to hearts and motherwell, lyon are another couple of levels (at least) up the soccer ladder.
to make matters worse for rangers darcheville damaged his hamstring on saturday and won't be fit for the match. this is a blow to the ibrox club as he would have been used as the lone frontman in a 4-5-1 formation.
kris boyd or cousin will probably play instead but aren't as mobile and won't work the flanks or the lyon defense as much as darcheville may have.
i'd imagine rangers will sit back and try to frustrate lyon. in a similair way as scotland did to france but not to the same extreme levels. barry ferguson isn't to be underestimated, as if given time and space he can control and dictate play and tempo.
still, i can't see anything other than a lyon victory but i will hope that rangers can get something in france as i want scottish clubs to continue to improve their profile in europe and also to increase our national co-efficient.

I don't date mates :P
Good game from us in all regards. I think that Rangers are a squad that really play well together and feed off of each other. Its something to see when they get it right.
Some good debate going on thats for sure between fans of all teams. I am impressed how it is civil. And yes, argue if you date..I mean dare :)
PLG did talk too, there is a thread at that link at the top...
