after Kalou's two goals (and not much else) midweek, i expect he'll start along side one or the other. Fulham should put one past Cech, but still i think we'll eek it out.

yeah, after 2 goals he deserves to start, but I just want to see what the 2 old geezers can do together. I don't think they have played together once this season.

Honestly, I hope not. 1 (1/2) goals doesnt negate all the previous games of him running around aimlessly and confusing the stands for the goal. Lets see what Sheva and Pizzaro can do together.

I surely hope Kalou doesn't start, that'll only help Fulham, as he continually gets the game and any flow we have stopped, by being constantly offsides.

Pity Drogba isn't available, it would be a good bet for 3 points.

As it stands, we'll fight hard to avoid a draw I think.

My UEFA pro license homework asignment and resume for the job is the dreaded diamond:eek:::D or replace Malouda with Sinclair and put him on the left and Joey on the right/roam in a more traditional 4-4-2

An interesting set up here indeed. I agree with you and Yasik and would like to see Pizza man and Sheva start together. I like the setup of your lineup though, Joe Cole has looked great at times playing through the middle, and with Juliano's attacking ability, we rarely dont need a winger on that side. Also with Malouda's tendency to drift inside so often, Bridge is a nice compliment for him on the left.

Something tells me though instead it will be TBH, Ashley, Kalou, and SWP(not that his inclusion would be a big problem for me either).

grant said we'd play positive football when he was appointed, Fulham certainly presents that option.

In a way, this is a bigger test for Grant than the United game, in that he's now expected to get a result and the furor about Jose has died down.

I haven't seen any of Fulham this season, tbh. I know McBride's out and it seems like they've been conceding quite a few (judging by the match reports) but they've eked out some draws regardless. I have no idea what to expect, but I do distinctly remember Kamara giving us fits when he played for WBA a few seasons ago. I hope he doesn't 'show up' for this one.

1-0 win for us. I can't wait until Drogba, Lamps, and Carvalho are back. We'll be set for our return to the top of the table by then.
Avram Grant is going to win manager of the year I just know it. We'll win the quad as well.

Fulham have actually scored 12 league goals this season already. That's more than anyone except Arsenal. They always seem to let leads slip though.

Chelsea should win this match easily though.

How long until Lamps is back roughly? I'm liking the look of Joe Cole, has he earnt his spot ahead of Malouda and SWP?

I would say so, certainly. Much has been made of SWP's blistering form, but Joey pretty much ALWAYS plays at that level. He deserves a start over either of them. What an England career he has ahead of him, as well!

Anyway, I concur with Walter, I'd also like to see Cole played in the attacking mid role - we have no other outstanding option.

All right, I know not to expect changes overnight, but...

I expect to see more of the beautiful, free flowing game we have been promised. We don't have Drogba to play Route 1 to. The combination of SWP, Joe Cole and Malouda in midfield would be a superaggressive approach in my opinion (coupled with two players up top), Why can't Bridge play on the right side?

Well, I'm waiting to be impressed, but I'm not waiting long...;)

I think it will be a 4-3-3 again with a similar lineup to the one that played Man Utd but with Ferreira dropped for the more attack minded Belletti and perhaps Bridgey to be worked into the side ahead of the out of form Ashley Cole.

Cudicini, Sinclair, SWP, A. Cole, Ben Haim,

Interesting formation, doesn't actually look too bad.

It's the kind of line up i'd expect to see Chelsea play should Anchelotti take over the reigns as manager (something I think is unlikely).
