My wife and I had a great time at this one. Sorry I didn't get a thread started before the match. Overall, a good performance from the R's and 3 points for us wouldn't have been unfair. That said, they had a few chances as well and 1 point each isn't really unfair either. Camp was excellent. Cullip also stood out. It was great to see Ainsworth in the mix. Timoska looked good at right back. Even if Mancienne returns this weekend, Timoska may have earned some more playing time somewhere. Leigertwood seemed to have a pretty good game and it seemed a bit unfair that he received two yellows. Bolder played well and I've seen some on other message boards saying that was his best performance of the season.
Before the match, we stopped off at the Green for one drink and met a couple members of the LSA that I hadn't met before. We were then off to the White Horse and hung out with a couple of our friends there. After the match we went back to the White Horse and stayed several hours until we'd all had our fill for the day. We picked up kebabs on the back and slept in the next morning!
We met a couple from Edmonton in the club shop on Friday and saw them back at the hotel after the game on Saturday night (they'd gone to the theatre after the game, while we'd been at the pub!). They're R's fans who are fitting in a few QPR games around some travel in Europe. I believe there were off to Prague on Sunday morning. I think they'll be back in London at least for Ipswich at home and PNE away.
By chance, it looks like I'll be going back over solo for the Ipswich match. Anyway, that's a quick recap of the day. Great weather, good fun with friends, and another excellent trip to Loftus Road.
Among my club shop purchases: a new home jersey (w/ Mancienne on the back), several bits of baby clothes (including a hooped onesie with the crest) and a baby blanket, car mats for the car (!), and a new QPR watch!
