Fulham caught Chelsea at the right moment - after 1) the Morinho deal, 2) lots of supposed infighting, and 3) a demoralizing game v. Man. U.

Of course there is the chance that Chelsea uses all these things to take the us against the world approach, but the new HC looks kind of sleepy and not a motivator.

I say Fulham should just really be aggressive from the get go -- you might see some frustrated Chelsea players.

Agreed... FFC is due. We could very well unleash the tidal wave on Chelsea come Saturday. I'd *love* to see the Cottagers go into the Chelsea's house, punch them in the nose, and take three points.... And I actually think it's possible this Saturday, too. If we can lock up our defense, we're just as good as those blue asshats

Stand up if you hate Chelsea!

If you want to beat Chelsea, you have bench Niemi and put in Keller.
Niemi has been horrible.

Niemi just needs to regain form from the injury.

Keller needs to build a time machine.

So rebuild in practice. Keller is the better choice right now.
He is smarter and more experienced, al be it, perhaps slower and older.
But right now Fulham needs leadership and confidence on that back line, which is something Keller will bring to the table, that Niemi has been unable to do. He has given up 9 goals this month alone!

Not saying Niemi is all that and a bag of chips, but have you seen our defense lately? And I thought we looked bad with Knight on the back line...

Sorry, but Niemi's to blame for far too many of those. You need your goalie to make some clutch saves and he's not really making any. Not saying the defense is doing him any favors, but still. Wanna know what will do more damage to team morale than going winless for the first 7 games? Scoring 3 goals in each of the last two games and not getting a win. If Niemi is in goal versus Chelsea, he's going to get destroyed. Chelsea is not the team to get your confidence back against.
