Been reported a couple of places but with the caveat that he has yet to decide whether he wil leave, only saying, that he has aggreed to terms if he does leave. And Barca and CFC would also have to agree to a price first...may still just be using CFC as a bargaining chip to get more out of Barca
Apparently we are trying to form the best over 30's team in the world:eek:

I thought I was dreaming when I saw that. That would be nuts.

The note on the espn bottom line noted that they needed to agree to a transfer fee to complete a move for "next year". Should I assume ESPN knows nothing of transfer windows, and next year refers to the January window, and not literally next season?
I hate getting excited about this when the two sources on a soccer story are the Sun and ESPN. I hope there is more to this than a grain of salt.
edit: the contract agreed to in the story is a 5 yr, $116 mil. deal....

Uh, after the transfer window closed?
I'm pretty sure he is cup tied in Europe already too...doesn't make sense.
The only thing sport.es is reporting is a story they got from the Sun
I won't believe it until I see it on there or on fcbarcelona.com (or the official Chelsea site I guess.)

Don't know how much he will help them when he's cup tied and Roman's goal is to the Champions League...

At the figures quoted in that article Roman would have to be a complete moron. That's alot of cash for an unneeded toy, that will have a hard time adjusting to a league where defense is not only played but played physically.

True. If we're going to spend that kind of money, might as well make it Kaka.

Jayro, please wake up.
1. Sadly, Roman is a moron
2. Unfortunately, it is his toy (so is Chelsea)
You know what I cannot understand and maybe this question should be in another forum but here goes. No matter what the fans are the ones that support the club, fans buy jersies go the the games buy memorobilia. the tv revenue is becasue fans watch the games. so how come when owners and boards do things they seem to alienate the fans and treat the club like it is their personal toys?

It's always been that way.
It's actually come along a bit though, in the past decade, clubs are treating fans far better than they did in years past.
I have always thought that club boad members have looked upon fans as a necessary evil, but an evil that needs to be kept as distanced as possible.
Funny, but true story.
During the 1980s, when Chelsea would go to the continent for pre-season friendlies (going to America/Asia was not the 'fad' back then), they would actually go out of their way to keep it hidden from us.
BTW - how old is buch tooth?
5 year contract?
Sounds like bollocks to me.
