Now there is no doubt left. Police recording caught Corithians President say in his own words that Corinthians only won the 2005 Brazilian Chamnpionship because in HIS WORDS...it was "ROBBED".
Ive always said that it was obvious, now its a fact!
INTER TETRA CAMPEAO!
1975
1976
1979
2005
Lets see if CBF has the honor to rectify this situation! Here is the video with the audio:

I just saw this on Estadao. It's a damning indictment of the corruption that plagues our league, that the cartola in charge of a major club would admit to that.
When's the next Internacional vs. Corinthians? That should be an interesting game.
But frankly, I doubt CBF will change the 2005 championship holder.

doesnt that means that Zveiter and maybe other people in the STJD received some money??
we all know that the cancellation of those 14 matches, most of them with absolutely no indication that the referee had robbed (in fact, in several of those matches, the team that should be helped by the referee in fact lost), was stupid to say the least. Maybe it was not stupid, but simply FIXED by the MSI paying big money to some STJD figures.
How the hell Corinthians being able to play again several matches that it had lost is "winning on the field" as some sport commentators said on the time?
I mean... how about we let Grêmio play again 4 or 5 matches we lost this season. If we win at least 3 of them (being able to replay lost matches is a huge boost confidence to the team that lost... being forced to replay matches that you had won has a NEGATIVE impact on the previous winner) we will have 53 points. If we win 4 we would have 56!!
Not mentioning Cruzeiro. Let Cruzeiro replay 3 or 4 matches it had lost and I BET Cruzeiro will be able to reach São Paulo in the ranking table.

This is silly. Doesn't mean anything. He didn't say Corinthians bought refs. The robbed part was referring to the ref PK mistake on the Inter x Corinthians game. He didn't say they had paid Rezende. You know in Brazil everybody says the game was robbed when there is a mistake made by the ref. Dualib is so damn stupid he said on the interview that they won the league by 1 point ... when they won it by 3 points.
You guys are really reaching here ... just to say that Inter is the true champion of 2005. This doesn't prove anything. It says what everybody already knows. Games were fairly replayed, and there was normal mistake on the Inter x Corinthians game.
Let it go.

imho, there is no thing as a fairly replayed match.
1 - didnt all matches Corinthians replayed were matches Corinthians had LOST?
2 - didnt the corrupt referee was paid (by the betting sites) to actually HELP Corinthians?
3 - if the ref was paid to help Corinthians, and Corinthians lost, how can one possibly imagine the ref interefered in the result and the match should be replayed?
4 - a team who replays a previously LOST match, has a potential strong psychological advantage above the other team, who must replay a match it had already WON.
5 - Let Cruzeiro replay 4/5 matches it previously lost, in this season. With the psychological advantage of replaying matches it had lost, Cruzeiro may very well win 12 or 15 points. That would HUGELY help Cruzeiro against São Paulo. São Paulo would be affected psychologically by the decision, and the championship might suddenly be in the hands of CRUZEIRO.
btw, I am a gremista. Of course, I also think that if Inter had won the 2005 season, it wouldnt have the revenge psychological edge it used to win the Libertadores and Mundial in 2006. Better an Inter 4 times brasileiro champion than Libertadores and Mundial champion.

I completely agree. The 2005 season will forever be a shame with the way things occurred. While I feel Scout's pain I have to say that the most telling and false point is this:
"...., now its a fact!
INTER TETRA CAMPEAO!"
No, it is not. As much as you would like for that to be a fact it simply isn't. The fact is Corinthians were the champions of 2005. Whether it was fair or not is definitely debatable and I personally will always despise Corinthians as a result of that season. However many champions in the world of sport have got there undeservedly through one mistake or another by those in charge(refs, administrators, etc.). It happens. Corinthians were crowned the champions and I would not expect this to change.

1 - Yes. And they gained 4 points back from it.
2 - Not really sure. Don't remember. Irregardless of it, I still believe the game needs to be replayed because it's not Corinthians fault the game was tampered with.
3 - Same as above.
4 - Possibly. But should we just leave the results the same even if we know for sure the ref. was cheating ? Is that fair ?
Plus, games were played again in October. It's not like they waited for the tournement to be almost over and see how close Inter were to Corinthians.
Fact is, there is no easy solution to this case that would appease everyone.

GAMES were never replayed anywhere else in the World....STJD decided on a whim to replay these games withoiut any factual evidence that the PARTICULAR games were manipulated. Corinthians went on to recover 4 points they had lost.
To further add insult...STJD decided to make this move IN THE MIDDLE of a Round on a SUNDAY MORNING! Hours before INTER (1st) and FLU (2nd) were to meet in THE GAME of the tournament to that point. But when the players woke up that morning they learned they were now in 3rd place! TALK ABOUT taking the punch out of a game!!! They ended up tieing 1x1.
It was all done wrong! Not even in Germany or Italy did they replay games when this happened there.
WITHOUT the canceled games inter finished 1 point above Corinthians.

First, it doesn't matter what other countries did. It doesn't make it right or wrong. Plus, they are different situations. In Italy, for example, they proved that the teams were ACTUALLY behind the whole thing and they were punished for it. Juventus went to the 2nd division. Milan lost points. Plus they did take the 2 previous titles away from Juventus.
In Germany the game rigged was a Cup match from the previous season. How the hell are going to replay that ???
In Brazil there is no proof that Corinthians was behind the game manipulation scandal. At least not yet. As far as I know, they did find out which games were influenced and replayed them. There is nothing wrong with that.
You can't just make analogies between these scandals because they are different. Don't mention them just to try and make a point that Inter should be champions. I bet that if Inter was in Corinthians place, your view would be completely different.

No they dont know if their were any manipulation in those 11 games! They refuse today to believe a word Edilson the ref says but they believed him then when he said he manipulated? And how do we not know that MSI didnt pay him to say that?
When the games happened nobody cried about being robbed in the games! So there was NO REASON to replay them! There are more complaints today in games then their were in thiose 11. Bottom line Edilson had no influence in all or most of those games.

They replayed all 11 games he ref'ed. I remember recordings of him talking of 3 games he had manipulated (or tried to) including the Santos x Corinthians game. If the games are not replayed, and Inter wins, people will still question the Championship. Don't forget Edilson was also invovled in one Inter game. Who's to say he wasn't trying to benefit Inter ?
As for Corinthians being involved, I am just going by the known facts. I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved...but that's just a theory with no proof. The title of the thread says it all IMO. You're saying it was ROBBED based on your assumptions but no facts. So your statment is just a consipiracy theory.
