I think he's a pretty good player, maybe he should get a callup sometime soon?

Thoughts?

He's been a pretty good player for a while now. I was hoping for him to be called up a while back but it didn't happen. Don't know if it will either with all the young players making a name for themselves and becoming staples of the team.

Let's call up Frankfurt's best and most consistent player first please, Albert Streit. :)

Frankfurt has had a good start. I think Meier has been better than Streit to be honest, although I like Streit too. Streit would be a better callup than Trochowski

Ab-so-lutely! I couldn't agree more.

Meier is an average player who has two or three good matches per year....just like Trochowski :p

He is over-average, but i agree with you,
in the past his performances weren´t constant.

So it would be perfect, if Jogi would know,
when Meier has a good week. ;)

Alex Meier, hmmm.....

-------------------Jentsch (1.96)------------------
Boenisch(1.91)Mertesacker(1.98)Metzelder(1.93)Jansen(1.91)
--------------Ballack(1.89)Khedira(1.89)------------------
----Meier(1.96)--------------------Borowski(1.94)------
----------------Kuranyi(1.89)Gomez(1.89)-------------

I wonder how many other nations could field a competetive lineup with an average height of over 1.92m? (you could push it even higher by moving Metzelder to RB (to be prepaced by another tall CB), putting Dabrowski in DM and Kiessling as a striker)

That would be one pretty slow midfield though ;) lol. Rep for creativity.

Who needs creativity? Just keep lobbing/crossing the ball into the middle for 90 minutes.

Quite surprised, but annoying to see that when Meier played for HSV he was crap and then suddenly comes out flying for Eintracht.

I was referring to the poster's creative post (as in, imagining a lineup of tall people), not the creativity of play ;)

Well, I was trying to find a reason to call him up. We already have Scweinsteiger and Trochowski covering the "terribly inconsistent attacking midfielder" slots, so Meier's only special defining quality seemed to be that he's freakishly tall for a midfielder...

The question is: Where isn't he?
