I was wondering if anybody knows if the Copa Panamericana will come back to our city next year or if they decided to bail on us because of the attendance?
Good question. I gotta think the answer is "no frickin' way" because of attendence, but my hope is they'll give it another shot and learn from their marketing/pricing mistakes.

I'd buy tickets again. I went two days and enjoyed all the matches. The low attendance was sad. I'm sure that the promoters could do much better here next time. Whether it was time of matches, exorbitant pricing for non frontline players, poor marketing, or illegal aliens worried about deportation; we can & have done much better in the past to support like tournaments.

Unfortunately, it was all of the above. The worst marketing possible.
The prices kept me away. Many 2nd line players in what was pre season for most of the participants. The promoter more concerned with Argentina TV times than the effect of Boca Jrs.(arguably the most recognizable team) starting at 6pm on a Friday.
That being said, I agree with JDevellish, properly done, Phoenix could support a tourney like this.

I enjoyed it, but the prices were crap. And the double-header thing probably kept people away as well since they felt they'd be paying for 2 games... and if their team was playing in one of them, why would they pay for another one?
