Discuss!
Disclaimer: The 'reject' tag is not applied to Nobby, who's obviously a legend. Just the rest of the ex-Mags.

It should be a decent game, I think. Owen? Is he fit? Bellend is, so I hear, and will be playing for the Hammers.
Enjoy the game lads. I always liked the Geordies. Hate that awful beer though.:D

Owen is on the roster to play. Looks like he won't be needing surgery on the groin...yet.

definatly the most importian match so far... if we want a top 10 this is a must win.
2-0 to the toon
i think someone brought up the formation of 4-3-2-1 against derby, have to say i like the team without gerimi

Remember the place of football in the scheme of things:
NUFC players will wear black armbands and there will be a minute's applause before the game in honor of Jordan Thompson (http://nufcblog.com/newcastle-will-pay-tribute-to-brave-teenager-on-sunday/), a 15-year-old NUFC Academy player who died this week of complications stemming from a bone marrow transplant to combat his leukemia.
Hopefully they'll win it for the kid too.

I guess the biggest question for me is whether Smith will be a nonfactor because he is on the bench or will be a nonfactor because he is playing midfield...
I'm thinking we take this one by a goal.

Hope that motivates the squad, since money and fame don't.

No Parker, Bellamy, Solano and of course Dyer in WHU's team.
Bowyer the only old boy on the team sheet.
We hand Beye a start at RB, with Roze and Cacapa in the middle.
Zogs must be back at LB, with the same Smith-Butt-Geremi-Milner midfield. Owen and Viduka up top.
Remember we play at Arsenal in about 48 hours in the League Cup, so STAY HEALTHY EVERYBODY!

12th minute, the game's been a little choppy since the early goal...West Ham trying to hit us on the break. Also failed to note that Harper is the choice over a fit Given today.

It never fails! I miss more goals than I see them lately! Walk away for any freakin reason and what do I miss, goals.

Dean Ashton scores on a long throw in, what we deserve, never took over the game after the early goal.

Well that was inevitable. We are chasing more than possessing. Disturbing.

GOAL out of nothing
Zogs chases down a long ball, turns Bowyer in the box, feeds it across the 6 and Viduka turns it in!

Viduka's helping out my sanity as well as the EPL Fantasy team:p

Best period now for Newcastle following the 2nd goal...finally showing killer instinct.

HT: riding our luck a bit at 2-1, we will need to go in search of a third because we look a little shaky at the back, Ashton in particular giving us problems.
