I have a good number of drills but am wondering if anybody has some theyd like to share that are good for this age group, I particularly like drills that are fun and work on comfort with the ball.

I posted these to an earlier thread you started.

Bomb ball, wall ball are a lot of fun and great for skills development. Get out of Jail is loads of fun, but maybe less of skill development tool.

Teach them two or three "change of direction" moves...the utter basics...and drill it at the beginning of each practice. Challenge them to practice them at home (I task my U10 girls travel team with 50 moves a day..if they do 50 a week I'd be happy). If they can learn these simple skills they'll enjoy the game much more.

My favorite is keep away without goals. I start novices with very little pressure, 3v2 or 3v1 if they can't maintain possession with only 1 man advantage. They begin to learn how to use space and support off the ball as well as improve ball skills. As skill increases, you gradually add pressure and add small goals.

Here is a link to some basic games that you can use, http://www.bettersoccermorefun.com/dwtext/knvbgmes.htm. Modify the field, numbers and rules as you need.

Good luck.
